This is a short example of the Risset Rhythm. Similar to a Shepard Tone which gives the illusion of an infinitely ascending or descending  frequency, the Risset Rhythm gives the illusion of an infinitely ascending or descending rhythm (in this case, the latter). 

This exercise was inspired by the track "Fold 4, Wrap 5" by Autechre.

Synthesis, arrangement and sound design was done using Csound, Renoise, and Ardour.

The final mixdown was done in Studio A at the Berklee EPD studios.
