Spinnin' Sessions is a weekly radioshow and event concept by Spinnin' Records.

Paul van Nimwegen AKA "Poseidon” is a Melbourne based producer & composer dedicated to bringing you powerful and cinematic bass music. 

Within the first 2 years of it’s inception, Poseidon received an award in Australia for EDM Awards "Best New Talent".

In that time, Poseidon has been on a mission to experiment and break musical conventions; from his 2 destructive, heavy EPs on Crowsnest Audio, all the way to his ambient, orchestral and melodic LP on Open Outlets. 

Poseidon released a collaborative EP titled “Eidolon” on VALE, with artists ÆTERNA and Leon Ross. "Zen Mirage" from the EP, was played live by Noisia, alongside being premiered on Noisia radio.
 
Poseidon began his journey creating dubstep, with a goal in mind of merging melody, orchestra and destruction together. Proceeding his dubstep releases, Poseidon has begun experimenting with other forms of genre such as half-time, and experimental music. 

One thing is clear, Poseidon is not interested in falling into a specific category. Instead, this producer & composer is on a journey to create powerful music that evokes, challenges, or impacts his audience in a modern way, to weave stories into abstract sonic worlds.

2009 was the birth year for interdimensional label Betamorph Recordings. To our friends in China it may have been the year of the Ox, but in the Dubstep calendar it was the year of the ALIEN. Growing from the bass heavy fruit of veteran DJ's and producers Dylan James (aka Deej) and  Chris McCahill (aka Megatron), Betamorph has been pummeling the scene with a twisted series of epic soundscapes and dirty symphonies. Nominated in the Best New Label category of the Dubstep Forum Awards in 2009, Betamorph is now ready to conquer the world with their unparalleled brand of subterranean sci-fi beats.
Taking the visceral edge of Deej’s roots in the early nineties Los Angeles rave scene and combining it with Megatron’s seminal graphic imagery, visions of a galactic future have helped Betamorph to create a rare coalition between art and music. The science fiction imagery synonymous with every Betamorph release is symbolic of the ethos that Dubstep’s lack of boundaries epitomize the innovation capable in a digital age. The Betamorph symbol not only represents a futuristically styled archive of groundbreaking music, but a fair deal for the artist, a perspective that many currently see as alien.
This has allowed Betamorph to build a prolific catalog and extend their reach worldwide. The artist roster not only includes insane talent from Tim Ismag, Point.Blank, Hulk, D-Jahsta, Filth Collins, Balkansky and Mark Instinct but also releases from legends like DZ, Barbarix and 12th Planet. Already positioned at the forefront of the Dubstep revolution, Betamorph have also been picked up by Symphonic Distribution and featured as their label of the month more than once. Although based stateside, Betamorph has also been harboring talent from around the globe. A partnership with mastering engineer Rick Simons aka SymbL and British journalist Simon Fogg has helped ensure that the label’s output will always match the quality of the imagery and the beats in professionalism, but also in never becoming predictable. The rise of Charlie Darker has been anything but ordinary. Tapped by some of the biggest names in dance music before he was even old enough to have a drink, the Canadian­-born phenom has been producing some of the most forward­thinking and hardest-­hitting Electro of the last few years. 

Strongly influenced by the first wave of the mid-­late 2000s, it was acts like Justice, The Bloody Beetroots, MSTRKRFT, SebastiAn and more who ignited a desire to bring pure raw energy to the dance floor.

With mentors like Wolfgang Gartner and MSTRKRFT, he quickly crafted a one­-of-­a-­kind approach driven by cutting-­edge sound design leading to releases on Dim Mak, Kindergarten Records, Mad Decent and more. In 2013, at just 21 years-­old, Charlie Darker was invited by Tommy Trash and “Uncle Wolf”, as he calls his esteemed advisor, on their national Hounds of Hell tour playing to massive crowds at some of the most iconic venues in North America including Webster Hall, the Hollywood Palladium and Washington DC’s Echostage.

Moving forward to 2015, Charlie Darker has racked up impressive support from some of the top names in dance music including Tiesto, Zedd, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, David Guetta, Chuckie, Porter Robinson, Zeds Dead and countless others. He’s remixed the likes of Diplo, Wolfgang Gartner, Zedd, Felix Cartal & Autoérotique to great acclaim.

The past few months have seen him invited by Zedd to remix the mega hit“Beautiful Now” and release an explosive anthem called “D2B” on Dim Mak. With an ambitious EP ready to unleash on Big Beat later this year, there’s no telling what the future holds for this rising star.
