➤ About this VA:
100 years ago the world lived in chaos. Huge wars between humans, as well as great advances in technology that changed forever the face of the world, a world that according to many artists, lived as a prisoner of the rational mind and that did not allow us humans to understand life and the Universe in its wide spectrum.

This is how, with its mystical origin in Dadaism, Surrealism was born. A movement that sought to explore and venture into the limits of the human mind through art. Initially literature, but also reaching the visual arts and so much more. Then decades later, the first psychedelic artists were born, much closer to music in its origins and who represented a rebellion against the established norms in the face of a world in chaos.

Today after 100 years, the scenario is complex again. There are wars, there is a technological revolution and the world is coming out of a great chaos caused by a virus that produced a great crisis. Can we perhaps learn something from the ideas of surrealism, to understand today's world?, remove ourselves from the entirely rational mind to which technology and the "information society" push us, to finally understand the world from an alternative perspective?

Making this compilation was a leap into the void, a mixture of psychic automatism and cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) that ended with a very free, authentic and very fresh result, with the wonder of the unexpected, including very purely electronic songs, with ideas of techno and even psy trance, like other more tropical ones with psychedelic cumbia, of course others more pop and the others, those that are usually there in our music, the ones totally trippy.

We hope you enjoy this great compilation full of freedom and unusual ideas, which will help you connect with another world through music, rhythm and love, thank you eternally!

Acerca de este lanzamiento:
IKU es el primer obra del artista Danubio, también conocido como Dany Riaño, quien forma parte del dúo argentino DESIERTO Y AGUA. El EP fusiona música electrónica con instrumentos y cantos , ofreciendo 3 temas originales y 2 remixes.

Exploración musical: Danubio explora un sonido profundo y minimalista en IKU, utilizando el piano como eje central para la composición. Este enfoque crea climas introspectivos que invitan a la reflexión sobre la naturaleza y el mundo interno del artista.

Significado de "IKU": La palabra "IKU" pertenece al idioma universal llamado IRDIN, significando "TU HACIA TI", un movimiento hacia uno mismo. Este concepto encaja perfectamente con la etapa artística de Danubio, reflejando su búsqueda personal y espiritual a través de la música.

Influencias andinas: La fusión de instrumentos y cantos andinos en IKU añade una capa única de profundidad cultural al EP, conectando la obra con las raíces argentinas de Danubio y enriqueciendo su expresión artística.

Bio:
Danubio, también conocido como Daniel Riaño, es un productor musical argentino que fusiona música electrónica con elementos chamánicos y downtempo orgánico. Su música se caracteriza por un sonido profundo y minimalista, donde el piano juega un papel central, creando atmósferas introspectivas que invitan a la reflexión sobre la naturaleza y la espiritualidad. En sus espectáculos, se pueden apreciar icaros chamánicos, ronroco (instrumento de cuerda andino) y flautas andinas, que añaden texturas únicas a su música.
El futuro lanzamiento de su primer EP con el sello mexicano EL SANTUARIO marca un hito importante en su carrera, prometiendo llevar su música a nuevas audiencias. Además, como fundador del dúo argentino DESIERTO Y AGUA, Daniel ha dejado una huella significativa en la escena latinoamericana de música orgánica. El dúo es reconocido como un referente en el género.

Alexandre-César-Léopold Bizet, plus connu sous le nom de Georges Bizet, est un compositeur français né le 25 octobre 1838 à Paris et mort le 3 juin 1875 à Bougival1 (Seine-et-Oise). Il est un des compositeurs de la période romantique. Il est surtout connu pour ses opéras, dont le très populaire Carmen, et ses suites orchestrales, créés sur une courte période, puisqu'il meurt prématurément à l'âge de 36 ans.

Gortoz a ran (« J'attends ») est un chant poétique écrit et interprété par le chanteur breton Denez Prigent, issu de son troisième album studio Irvi, paru en 2000. Sorti en single, le chant en breton, enregistré en duo avec Lisa Gerrard, séduit un large public. En 2001, Gortoz a Ran est intégrée dans la bande originale du film américain La Chute du faucon noir de Ridley Scott, en 2012 dans le film Les Seigneurs d'Olivier Dahan, en 2016 dans la série américaine South Park et en 2020 dans la série américaine Hawaï 5.0.

Leftfield is a British electronic music group formed in 1989 in London, England. The group initially consisted of Paul Daley and Neil Barnes, before Daley left in 2002, leading to the group's dissolution, and then his return with Barnes as the sole leader in 2010.


They were among the first to fuse house with dub and reggae, thus giving birth to progressive house. They were pioneers in integrating vocals into electronic music.


In 1995, their album Leftism managed to reach the third place in the UK sales chart. In 1999, the album Rhythm And Stealth reached the top of the English charts.
