La Charo es una gran cantante Argentina que por alguna razón sigue mi proyecto desde sus inicios, admiro mucho su forma de cantar y como lo transmite hacia la sanación y hacia nuestras raíces latinas.

En Latinoamérica es común relacionar los pájaros con difuntos queridos que vienen a visitarte y que mejor manera que hacerles una canción para bailar y honrarlos. Espero disfruten de este edit que hice con mucha vibra latina y mucho amor para todxs ustedes.

About this EP :

Amálgama is Birdzzie's most recent work, developed and hatched even during the Pandemic, as a reflection of the influences that have come to inspire him in recent years, with the pulsating African and Brazilian music scene in Lisbon, through its rhythms and flavors.

Respectfully in the form of a humble tribute, he decided to release these 3 tracks that came out in a cascade and at once, which constitute a profound flight between Europe, South America and Africa. Who better to symbolize this good amalgam than some of the migratory birds, such as Cagarra, Abelharuco and Milhafre, which during their lives exist, each in its own way, between these 3 continents?

3 original tracks and 3 remixes by Kurup, Ohxala and Yule.

Amálgama é o mais recente trabalho de Birdzzie, desenvolvido e chocado ainda durante a Pandemia, como reflexo das influências que o vieram a inspirar nos últimos anos, com a cena musical pulsante Africana e Brasileira em Lisboa, mediante seus ritmos e sabores.

Respeitosamente em forma de humilde homenagem, decidiu lançar esses 3 temas que lhe saíram em catadupa e de uma vez só, que constituem um profundo voo entre a Europa, a América do Sul e a África. Quem melhor para simbolizar essa amálgama boa, que algumas das aves migratórias, como a Cagarra, o Abelharuco e o Milhafre, que durante as suas vidas existem, cada uma à sua maneira, entre esses 3 continentes?

1) What is your favorite book to read?
-Most recent favorite is a book titled "Radalla" by the Finnish author Iida Sofia Hirvonen.

2) If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
-Making everybody forget hate and violence, so they are able to focus on dancing instead.

3) What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)?
-I guess it's a bit over 24 hours, which has happened when organizing events as well as in childbirth. So I've had pretty good reasons for it.

100 years ago the world lived in chaos. Huge wars between humans, as well as great advances in technology that changed forever the face of the world, a world that according to many artists, lived as a prisoner of the rational mind and that did not allow us humans to understand life and the Universe in its wide spectrum.

This is how, with its mystical origin in Dadaism, Surrealism was born. A movement that sought to explore and venture into the limits of the human mind through art. Initially literature, but also reaching the visual arts and so much more. Then decades later, the first psychedelic artists were born, much closer to music in its origins and who represented a rebellion against the established norms in the face of a world in chaos.

Today after 100 years, the scenario is complex again. There are wars, there is a technological revolution and the world is coming out of a great chaos caused by a virus that produced a great crisis. Can we perhaps learn something from the ideas of surrealism, to understand today's world?, remove ourselves from the entirely rational mind to which technology and the "information society" push us, to finally understand the world from an alternative perspective?

Making this compilation was a leap into the void, a mixture of psychic automatism and cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) that ended with a very free, authentic and very fresh result, with the wonder of the unexpected, including very purely electronic songs, with ideas of techno and even psy trance, like other more tropical ones with psychedelic cumbia, of course others more pop and the others, those that are usually there in our music, the ones totally trippy.

We hope you enjoy this great compilation full of freedom and unusual ideas, which will help you connect with another world through music, rhythm and love, thank you eternally!

Las Corrientes es un disco inspirado en los cuerpos de agua de la península mexicana, después de algunos viajes en donde me reencontré con sus corrientes marinas, y su ecosistema, así como la importancia de la mujer en cada parte del proceso de cuidado y flujo.

Río Indio, representa la conexión entre el humano y el agua, así como el flujo y la fuerza femenina, se creó con guitarras acústicas, sonidos grabados de ríos mexicanos en sinergia con ecos electrónicos.
Sisal, representa el misterio, lo imponente y la fuerza de este ecosistema que coexiste con su belleza. Se usaron guitarras clásicas que se conjugan con la presencia de una percusión potente y seca.
