When I was on tour years ago I was stopped and questioned by U.S. Customs at Toronto airport. They wanted to know my intentions and why I was travelling to the US after spending a week in Toronto. "Well, I’m a singer in a band and I’ve got shows booked across the country from New York to LA" I said. The rest of the band were completely unaware of the situation I was in and were way ahead of me, had cleared Customs, and were awaiting my arrival on the plane.

After an intense interrogation, the Customs officials decided to deny me entry based on my Visa not allowing me to sing in the U.S. - you actually need an Entertainment Visa to do this which requires a lot of money and filling out tonnes of paperwork... The Customs officer walked me to the front of the airport, turned me around and said "Good luck". 

So, there I was, in a country I had never been before and I’m looking around thinking 'Where the hell do I go? What's my next move?'. Lucky I had met some really cool Canadians during the week at some of our shows, so I gave them a call. I spent the next two weeks soul searching and sleeping on floors.

"Shadow of a Doubt" is about those two weeks of having no real sense of commitment, time, place, or idea of how and when I was going to get back to Australia.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
If you can't spot a trend in my current likes it may be because it is diverse. I love listening to all my playlists which contain tracks that I like and if you like any of the music you must thank the artists not me.

Pitchfork proclaims The Eiffels are “on a quest to chart their own space between rock and pop." Forbes describes their synth-rock sound as “neon grooves," and Spin hails their music as a “euphoric ode to the good times." The Eiffels' “More” was the opening track to Netflix’s hit movie The Kissing Booth 2, and their music has appeared everywhere from video games (Rock Band 4) and magazines, to MTV.

Their buzz led to millions of streams, a spot on Vans Warped Tour, Hollister's Feel Good Tour, and opening for artists like X Ambassadors, Plain White T’s, and Gym Class Heroes. Their debut EP was declared an “opening salvo that any band would dream of” by Baeble Music and was the 15th most added record on U.S. college radio. They’ve since seen spins from some of the largest alternative stations in the country including KROQ, KLOS, and 91X.
