Mahamudra is a form of Tibetan meditation that I have been practicing for the past 6 months - the basic idea is to watch your thoughts, emotions and sensations, and then to watch the watcher of those things, and to basically keep stepping back until you kind of dissolve who you think you are and arrive into this mental space of really deep peace and clarity.  In a way, that’s the effect I want my music to have on people - to make them lose themselves in a moment and just be totally present to the here and now.  I named this record “Mahamudra” because there are no lyrics - no words or labels to distract the listener from the actual music - and the intention of the music itself, which uses a lot of eastern elements and motifs, is to lift you into that place of inner peace and freedom that has been explored by so many great sages and mystics from that part of the world.

Their buzz led to millions of streams, a spot on Vans Warped Tour, and later opening for artists like X Ambassadors and Plain White T’s. Their debut EP was declared an “opening salvo that any band would dream of” by Baeble Music and was the 15th most added record on U.S. college radio.
