Discast 33 is full of heavy artillery from the Cuban-Peruvian producer, DJ, and rave organizer Buzzi. This ingenious techno tool creator resides mainly in New York City's sacred electronic music underground. His high speed and distorted Schranz-like sound topped of by percussive touches and pummeling drums leave no room for compromise. All in all, a crazy 150 BPM bashing beats compilation to start the weekend in style.

Plague Exhibition - Without Mercy [Wunderblock Records]

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by Hüma Utku. Combining her practice of music with her studies in psychology; Utku's works draw inspiration from human condition, Jungian psychology, mysticism and folklore.

"Wherein All Things Are Like The Void" comes off AREA Z`s part two of “Uncanny Valleys” compilation. The concept of the series is related to the theory introduced by Japanese robotitian Mori Masahiro back in 1970, referring to the paradoxical perception of the existing similarities between robots and human beings.

This second opus focuses on ‘Industrial’ music through a variety of genres and interpretations of the genres aesthetics. Opening with an infused four to the floor selection cut with a slice of power ambient, the compilation evolves into a rawer shape, with industrial, noise that embraces either nihilistic or romantic intentions.

Taking a look at music that is influenced by a genre, created in the times where the concept was created, helps us to grasp the links between the theory and music, both inspired by the development of technologies and its influences on both personal and societal aspects.

Emerging from the rave scene, NƵM 99 is driven by a dark and acid techno with heavy and powerful basses, he likes to wow the crowds with his fingertips. A hyperactive producer, he created his own label Tjalk records as a tribute to his boat on which he lives.
From his teenage years, he draws his influences from the rave party movement as well as from the tracks of Arnaud Rebotini, The Hacker, Terence Fixmer and David Carretta.
At the age of 19, he bought his first analogue machines and never stopped enriching his set up as soon as the opportunity arose.
Fascinated by the warm grain of old synthesizers, he cultivates a techno with EBM tones that bewitches dance floors.

NET#0 is a new label to showcase future work from Killawatt and related projects. Born out of an inexorable frustration and anxiety around the current climate crisis, it aims to project a sense of impending dread, but also relay an unbreakable belief in the future of science, technology and engineering to solve these issues. The current Covid-19 & inequity pandemics have exacerbated these feelings but also brought to the fore a parallel issue within the music industry, in that some of the logistical, social and financial mechanisms involved have similarly become highly unsustainable. My hope is that, alongside the label and other likeminded people, we can open some form of academic, honest, & unbiased discussion around how we can reduce the negative impacts of the music industry on the world around us and within. We need to step back and assess how we can rebuild post-COVID-19 to enable a push towards carbon neutrality, whilst also maintaining a healthy, prosperous and creative sector. Electronic music has historically been a progressive, inclusive and forward- thinking beacon within creative industries and we should be exploiting these traits to create change and better the world around us. I believe the best method of achieving this would be to create an industry-wide manifesto, signifying the serious intent of the music sector on reducing its environmental impact and further progressing the recent work in pushing an agenda of equality to the fore. I hope the small platform I have can contribute towards this in some way.

A different climate / environmental charity will be chosen for each release, and a cut of subsequent revenue will be donated.

Killawatt - Voodoo Mission [NET#0]

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Tapefeed. "Systemic Toxicity" comes off the great new non-profit v/a from System Revival Recordings. The project was born in the second half of 2020 with 2 emergency charity compilations aiming to raise funds for relief efforts in Beirut after the port explosion in August.

The label continues curating such charity compilations for various causes quarterly in 2021 -  and now return on March 4th with 'Zero Hunger', raising funds for the World Food Programme. And to follow, will come another one in June. https://www.wfp.org/
