And so we set foot in the new year. It is becoming. 

For us 2016 was paving the way. Taking out everything that was needed to set us on the path of The Gardens of Babylon. The following 2017 brought happiness and joy. Crossing paths with beautiful souls, sharing moments with incredible beings and listening to sounds of the star children from another galaxy. But still, like a ship that is about to reach the shore we knew we were only setting the first steps in to the new world.  

Time to continue our journey. To explore new life and new opportunities together with our family. 

To start this new year with revelations instead of resolutions, we asked some artists very close to us to create a podcast for you. So sit back and enjoy, because we will share one masterpiece after the other in the following days.

Starting with MeToBe. I found out about Chris because he was sharing his sets in family group. And as we get many sets I am not always able to listen to them. I thank the day that I decided to put one on. It's so different. And I mean not always, but his track selection, is smart, it's cool, it's different, it's interesting. I found myself spending hours of exploring his sets...

Excited to kick off our new podcast series with this gem of an artist.

The first days of the new year - #1 Metobe

The Colombian Marcelo Berges(@prizma-9)is a musician, musical producer and DJ based on Costa Rica. Raised surrounded by Andean instruments; dancing malambo and joropo; he learned from an early age how essential it is to value his local sonorities. Nowadays, he's producing a mix of those old sounds printed on his childhood and is honoring the native old Latin American music background with a very generous pinch of modern deep bassy downtempo. 

Unlike our previous editions, it's safe to say that this week sonic walk is up to three hours and was genuinely live recorded three days ago by Mr. Berges during the special event called 'La Danza del Sol', which foresaw founds collection for the rebuilding of the local museum 'Taller del Artista' from scratch after it has burnt down. For this worthy cause Marcelo brought up great music, but reading between the lines, it does highlight a very important message: we must always remember that destruction gives space for reborn and the sun will rise again on a eternal dance.

As i thought a bit of an easy flight, i made this one a bit special. Blending between genres as i Love doing. going for a bit slower pace in this one.

Here it is. 
I arrived to Garbicz late on Thursday having lost my luggage (but not my music!) and quickly got ready to play a few hours later. By 4am I had found the Hedoné dome (Sagrada Feminina) and my heart started racing knowing full well I was back at Garbicz and about to gift all these dancing barefoot souls a sunrise full of love and flavor. 

Took me a bit to get going, adjusting to the energy on the dance floor but once that sunrise came, cumbia oozed out and your love and dancing kept me going a little bit more <3 

Thank you @hedone-berlin for building this beautiful dome full of love and laughs. Forever thankful for this opportunity at a place that for 5 years now has been my favorite musical gathering far and away.
