After days of playing with gain staging, limiting and various other techniques, I still am lost at which master sounds best. I don't know why my master channel in Ableton is in the red when all the songs are purchased .wav files that are masted. Reducing gain of individual channels feels like im taking away energy from the original file, limiting reduces power in the low end, and doing nothing gives distortion or clipping points. However, I need to move onto a new project so here is the next Dichwasher installment.
