The sheer intensity of a hypnotizing groove and his cool, crisp vocals carry more force than a thousand blaring subs rattling out the hardest bass grooves. The charts and charts of electronic dance singles can't measure up to the unfathomably deep intention this type of tune evokes. There's just nothing like a new Rab tune. This one is going to be on repeat.

Over a year ago I worked with David Block, aka The Human Experience, with the track Aftermath. It was released on his album Embraced.

Since then I have made this re-edit with sax player GuDA and added a new "B" section with different percussion. This new re-edit ads a sultry touch to the already sexy track that David and I created.

I wrote the original music for this song years ago and could only come up with one line "Lead me into, show me what you got". My friend Charis actually came up with that lyric (to give her credit where credit is due) but we were never able to develop any other lyrics. I wanted a song that invited the listener into a deep sensual place of surrender. With all our effort, we just couldn't find the words. I tried several other vocalists but nothing stuck. 

Several months ago, I had given Nadine (Colibri) a folder of instrumentals that I hadn't released. One day, she surprised me and sent her first take at what was to become "Into Your Wild". Her voice is enchanting, and her choice of melodies and harmonies were exactly what this song needed to give it the breath that it now contains. It has been a pleasure writing songs with her and we have three more in the works, including a new original song/collaboration between myself, Colibri and Phutureprimitive (coming very soon). 

I hope this song....takes you....into your wild.

This song is a collaboration with the talented duo Entheo @entheo . Amma Li Grace and I wrote the lyrics about the challenges we face as women to open our voices. It has a swingy melody and playful beat with hints of glitch. I've been told this song has been quite healing for some women as they stretch into the uncomfortable terrain of speaking up. It is featured on "Feminine Medicine Vol. 1".

About Feminine Medicine™
The Feminine Medicine™ project is a series of collaborative albums and stage shows I launched in 2015. Every song on the album is a collaboration between me and another female artist. 

I set out to bring music to the dance floor that showcases the "feminine" aspect through many expressions and faces of the feminine. The music expresses a harmony of both masculine and feminine frequencies that is both danceable and sacred co-created with some of my favorite female artists. I believe this music shows how "feminine" melodic textures and vocals can integrate with traditionally "masculine" bass frequencies to create songs that are harmonically transcendent of any existing genre.   

I have been writing, producing and performing the Feminine Medicine™ music for the last 5 years, collaborating with over 30 female musicians, vocalists, and dancers to showcase stage shows at major festivals including Lucidity Festival, Beloved Festival, and Enchanted Forest Festival. 

Artists showcased on Feminine Medicine™ music so far include: 
Heather Christie, Imagika Om, Liquid Love Drops, Ixchel Prisma, Eden Amadora, Amma Li Grace of Entheo, Tara Divina. 

Volume 1 was released Feb 2017. A remix album was released in 2018 featuring remixes from Govinda, Living Light, Luke Mandala, Ra So, Spoken Bird, Wu Wei, Joe Muscatello, and Pattern Disrupt.

Wild Rose is many things...
Wild Rose is my First self produced official release as Moondrop.

This track isn't just a collaboration between 4 singers...it's truly a collab between the 200+ womxn that have journeyed with us at Shakti Sound. Beyond that.. This is a collab between All womxn currently ready or almost ready to share their shameless, wild, liberated expression and gifts. I feel the sisterhood so strong, All of us standing together, offering our harmony to humanity. 

Wild Rose is a statement of reclaiming one's inner wildness. It is an archetypal embodiment of the journey from innocence to pure uninhibited expression. This is an anthem for the personal process we each must confront in pure awareness and grace if we shall reclaim our freedom. We are taking the future into our hands by consciously writing the story. It is a call for a Rebalancing, Recalling oneself and the power that lies within.

There are always two worlds to pick from, the one where you have forgotten, and the one where you choose to Remember.

This is a call for the Spark within you to catch fire.

There are many messages encoded within these lyrics, we invite you to explore what they mean for you.

Wild Rose was filmed and birthed at the first ever Shakti Sound Retreat where we empowered over 50 Womxn in the Music Industry.

Wild Rose was filmed outside of Nevada City California on ancient Nisenan tribal land that has sense been made into a Hot Spring called Sierraville. We stand for the re-wilding of ourselves and respect of ancient Indigenous wisdom.

“The Human Experience” is David Block’s principal project as a live
electronic composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer. Listeners
experience a delicious symphonic blend of prismatic soundscapes and
sultry beats.

David is constantly pushing the boundaries of live electronic music. Playing, composing, and conducting his own electronic symphony live on stage, his performances are brimming and layered with human emotion, world exploration, and sacred sounds. Whether performing by himself, or with a live band, “The Human Experience” always delivers an emotionally charged show.

“The Human Experience” aims to cross cultural barriers through music. David has collaborated with artists all over the world including Ignacio Perez (Buena Vista Social Club), William Close (The Earth Harp), Random Rab, Govinda, Amae Love, Rising Appalachia, and many others.

Since his debut album “Inaudible Sounds” in 2010 , he has released nine other albums and has new projects planned for release in 2020.  Each song is a sonic journey; interweaving psychedelic layers of melody and harmony with organic grooves and international vibes.

Composing and performing live with the Audio/Visual/Dance projects “Phadroid” (Andrew and Phaedra Jones), “Quixotic”, “Lucent Dossier”, and “Seraphim” David is expanding his sounds into the mixed media world.

David has performed all over the world sharing the stage with renowned artists such as, Thievery Corporation, Bonobo, Tipper, Emancipator, The Polish Ambassador, and many more.

Over the last three years he has toured in UK, Europe, Russia, Israel, Central America, Canada, and all over the United States at a variety of events including festivals like Burning Man, Boom, Coachella, Electric Forest, Wakarusa, Lightning in a Bottle, Sonic Bloom, Symbiosis, and Envision.

His music has been featured on NBC prime time TV and is beginning to make its way into the world of cinema.

David is consistently redefining himself as an artist, performer, and human being. Moving and traveling around the world, meeting people from all walks of life and realms of consciousness, he is continually learning, growing, and sharing inspiration with those around him.
