All sounds contained within are home-made/DIY recordings. Most songs are short stories, as I am influenced by Musicians & Writers like Raymond Carver, Warren Zevon, Mountain Goats, Tom Waits, Mark Eitzel,  Randy Newman, Destroyer, Steely Dan, Captain Beefheart, Loudon Wainwright III, Leonard Cohen & The National. Some of our art is made on computers, some of it is made by hand. We are particularly interested in that gray area in between where you cant really tell. All of what we create here is one work laid out in segments, all connected. The Mystic Tape Deck universe is vast and explores all manner of adding meaning to our lives, while pondering meaninglessness.

I am playing guitar and Bass. Keyboards and Drums are programmed.
Mix and Mastering was done in the „N.o.b.S. Moonshine Studios“ in Mainz Germany.
Nearly everything had been recorded during the night, sometimes at daylight on weekends.

I’m a song-writer who enjoys creating music of any genre.

My son recently introduced me to A.I. and taught me how to do covers of my previously released non-A.I. music. Since I've never considered myself a performer (except playing with worship bands at church or solo-piano at a rehab center) using A.I. is right up my alley.

Since I've  exhausted using my previously released music for A.I. covers, I now compose music in a DAW, rip to a wave file, and make an A.I. cover of this wave file. I then write lyrics to the A.I. music. It takes around 100 A.I. iterations to complete the lyrics and get a style I'm happy with.  

Brief Bio: Lived more than a quarter of my life overseas (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan). Each country gave me an appreciation for different types of music plus probably why I get bored easily in sticking with one genre or another.

If we get < $2.50 per 1k plays here, you must know that hanging here means love, not lu$t. You may find automated music sequences but no artificial intelligence. USE HEADPHONES for the best sound as GarageBand is pressed to it's known limits. Also find rotating playlists featuring other creators. the ignorant savants is the musing of Byron Haskins, a self-educated  informal composer of musical abstractions, creating in Montreal QC and Lansing, MI, and a Third Act, informed by the prior two - applied psychology and political activism.
