I think it's also important to think about the kind of role you want someone to play in your life! While friends inspire growth in one area, parents can inspire it in a different area, and S.O. in yet another. One person can't be everything, so if you are looking for someone to make you want to be better, there are different areas of your life they could potentially do that- even if it's not area you initially were considering growth in. Depending on your mindset, you can learn anything from anyone; it may just be a matter of whether keeping the person in your life is a positive experience or a negative one. Those are my thoughts! Great episode though, this one really resonated with me!
