These Last Few Days by Siegfried Jünger

Inspired by a trip to Reynisfjara  on an uncharacteristically calm day where the wind died away and the sun showed itself, the band returned to their Reykjavík studio and wrote "Black Sand".

The driving start gives way to a calmer feel reflecting the weather that day and Mike's Rhodes keyboard adds a mellow feel to the piece, Jussi's guitar replicates this later in the song.

Looking For Glass by Siegfried Jünger

The genre that blends classical music with modern electronic elements is often referred to as "electronic classical" or "classical-electronic fusion." This genre combines traditional classical instrumentation and compositional techniques with contemporary electronic production, synthesizers, and sound design. It aims to create a fusion of the classical aesthetic with the innovative possibilities offered by electronic music, resulting in a unique and hybrid musical experience.

It was late one night during the band's last tour of Sweden when they were at the rehearsal studio in Stockholm finishing up and running through their instrumental "Hungry Ghosts".

The next band into the studio, The Bawl Slant, arrived early and their vocalist Kristopher heard the track and offered to write some lyrics and lay down some vocals.

This track is a result of that collaboration.

Let The Phone Ring

This song was inspired by a series of unfortunate events that ultimately led to my incarceration for a short-period of time, opening my eyes to the reality of where I was headed if I continued down the path I was on. Although the amount of time spent in jail was a blip-in-time in the grand scheme of things, this moment-in-time catalyzed the unraveling of everything I'd worked for up until that point in my life, and impacted literally every aspect of it in a extremely negative way, and wouldn't let up for the next 2 years. Felony probation, narrowly escaping a 2-4 year prison term, being turned away by employers, amounting debt from legal fees, being written off by more and more people, the list goes on... At the end of the day, this track playfully describes that night, and where my head was at, flipping the dark undertones of the situation into a "boppy," up-beat trap-driven melodic creation, allowing me to express to myself, and to all of my supporters that this past 2 years and some change hasn't broken me, and ultimately reminds me that there IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL... NO MATTER HOW DARK OF A WHOLE YOU ARE IN.
