This is a reinterpretation/remix of the song BOTOX BABIES by the duo The Dream Eaters. The original version is only 12 seconds long, and even with that short duration it's absolutely brilliant. So in November 2024, I contacted Jake Zavracky via email, told him I couldn't get Botox Babies out of my head and asked if I could do a remix of the song. In a completely irresponsible act, he agreed (lol) 😄 So I called in the talented singer Marc Freak to do the vocals and you know, when you put two guys together who like B-52, you can't come up with anything that doesn't have a strong B-52 influence.

Well, Jake, the only thing I know is that it's too late to regret it. 😄

Back in the early 80s, Elyce and I saw a special on World Vision’s work in Africa. We were impressed while horrified by the people’s suffering. What made the largest impact though was a particular doctor who explained he couldn’t help everyone. He had to choose between the mothers who had enough will to live and care for their children, and those who were too far gone and had given up.

Doctor Avery was getting burned out and said he didn’t know how much longer he could go on.

We were moved to write a song, "Help Dr Avery", but it was never recorded until now. It is on my new album called, SHIKASTA SUITE. You can download and share this song here for free but we have pledged to donate ALL SALES from this song to World Vision to help in their ongoing work.
