В своем микстейпе Soft Blade соединяет треки из культовых фильмов и игр про граффити и стрит-арт с российским хип-хопом 1990-х и 2000-х.

Я выбрала треки, которые могут вызывать ассоциации с граффити у самых далеких от субкультуры людей, например из саундтрека к культовому фильму про стрит-арт «Выход через сувенирную лавку» или музыку из популярной игре про граффити Getting Up, а также треки, которые ассоциируются у меня с атмосферой хип-хоп-культуры 1990-х и 2000-х в России. Также я использовала вставки из популярного в узких кругах подкаста G-Spot, в записи которого участвовали люди, серьезно повлиявшие на развитие граффити в России.

An hour or so of high octane Italo bangers and trancey numbers was recorded by Jack after returning from a vinyl dig with Norwegian enigma Telephones during his recent tour of Australia.

Rotations Round 02: Huge Jackman

For this mix, Black Mannequin (@blackmannequin aka Iti Memon) has delivered a sonic mood board for his pre and post-EP sentiment. It’s a diverse selection of tracks, and is characterised by Iti’s always flawless mixing, and seamless tempo changes.

"I’ve woven together a lot of styles that inspire me; old, new and unreleased. There’s yet-to-be-heard Pocketmoth material, raw cuts from tracks I’ve been working on, and some field recordings layered with ambient textures I plucked from unfinished sessions on my hard drive.”

These tracks are a series of drawings — a dark alleyway behind a closing bar ... a moment when the beat hangs in the air, and you look at your friends like “what just happened?” …  a night of over-indulgence, riddled by hallucinations.

Last august Yu Su was temporarily residing in LA for a short time whilst on a sort of extended tour/sorting out visa combo adventure. Whilst in town we managed to write a bunch of music together (keep your eyes peeled for SCR015) and even stop by the Dublab studios for a little B2B. Well, almost a year and a half later… those tracks are about to finally see the day of light. So to truly execute this charming tableau, we got together again (virtually this time) on the same radio station for another 2 hours of fun.

These tracks anticipate that first party we’re all looking forward to. After an anxious arrival, a playful rhythm invites you to hang your armor on the coat rack. You’re seduced by a groove that marries your body to the dancefloor but pulls your mind to an acid beach party on the shores of a distant planet. Is that a filter sweep or the waves crashing? The bouncing floorboards bring you back to your body. You laugh and exchange stories with your friends as the DJ puts on the last tune of the night…
