This jam is near and dear to my heart, as it was a cute little track I put together at the expense of my love. I invited her into the studio on our 5th anniversary and had her make some sounds in the mic, with her under the impression that i would be cutting it up into loops, but the unedited recording was so much fun, i used whole chunks of it and built the track around it. Anyway, the project for it is destroyed, so I can never go back and do more work to it, but I did a quick little master and wanted to share it for people who wanted the jam. 

It's so different than what I usually do, that it just never found its way into a release, but I'd like it out there to share, and hey, it's the internet, I can do what I want.

Some hiss in the recording I can't get rid of, but that's life, anyway, I hope it warms you up as we spiral into winter.

Time for Trees is the alter ego of sound designer, musician, and artist Joshua Smith. When not making sounds for video games, he can often be found making music about the deep simplicity of human existence and its futile striving.

Treeotica is a percussive instrument. It is an amplified tree branch that is hooked up to a guitar FX peddle. Attached to it are cello and guitar strings, 10 second re-recordable voice module, and a windup music box. Each sound composition is one uninterrupted single track - an unknown, melodic sound exploration composed in the moment. "Anticipate You and I” is Treeotica’s Sound Story anthology. I found the groups a better way to exchange than following members due to the reposts in the stream! my TOOLS are simple: Mix EURORACK 602A, Media player classic (MPC), VLC Media player; no speed control! Audacity sequencer, K7 These nowadays mixes are recorded with K7 deck! recorderYamaha KX E100.
