1981 an eleven year old kid gets a gift, that is the New Life 7 inch by Depeche Mode, from that very moment the cold beats of drum machines and the alien sounds of synthesizers are the soundtrack of his life, until today.Living the eighties as a teenager, he absorbed every futuristic and dark sound as a fan, new wave, goth, proto EBM, classics like Kraftwerk or Tangerine Dream ...1987 marks the switch from being passive to being active, he gets his first synth and drum machine combo as a christmas gift from their parents, a second hand Kawai Sx 240 keyboard and a Korg kpr 77 drum machine, and starts making his own noises and beats from scratch. Soon he formed his first music project, called Ballet Mecánico, with his two fellows Groof and Daniel Erbe.Heavily synth pop influenced in the beginning, their sound soon moves to darker territories after discovering Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb and later moving into proto rave sounds via the Frequencies album by LFO or the Yellow album by Orbital, as well as those lovely Detroit compilations released in the UK by Network records: Bio Rhythm and Retro techno among others. This project last until the mid nineties and left two vinyl releases.1995 is when his solo career as Hd Substance starts, releasing a track on the Electronic Generators compilation, a showcase of spanish techno pioneers at the moment, on Geometrik records, home of the seminal industrial cult band Esplendor Geométrico a stepping stone to his debut album Eleven on the also cult label Elefant Records.After more than 30 years in the business, more than 30 Ep’s and six full length albums, Hd Substance is still here as a full actor in the scene, writing, composing, remixing and playing electronic beats all over the globe, as live performer or as traditional beatmatching dj. An entire life devoted to electronic music in any form.

Silent Season is a music label influenced by the natural surroundings of British Columbia, Canada. The sounds of Silent Season grew out of the connection between deep ethereal music and the mossy rain forests of Vancouver Island. A soundtrack to some of the most radiant and aural beauty in the world.

A touring club night and label founded by Moxie in March 2016, On Loop carries a simple clubbing ethos where high-quality soundsystems and a comfortable party atmosphere are at its forefront. Not to mention disco balls and confetti balloons. 

On Loop has hosted parties across the UK and Europe including London, Paris, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Lyon, Dublin, Liverpool, Amsterdam, as well as festival takeovers at Glastonbury, Common People, Festival no.6 & Amsterdam's ADE.

Mario Mars aka heathenBEAT is a Chicago based DJ & creative w/ a goal of blurring genre lines within global dance rhythms while keeping focus on Dance Music’s linear history & foundational sound culture unique to Chicago’s House roots. 

Mars was born in LA, raised in St. Louis, and groomed in visits to New York. Early years involved Punk venues, Industrial music, & focus on international nightlife & arts. Taken under wing by elders in his mid/late teens his tastes evolved to include Chicagoans Larry Heard and Jersey’s Tony Humphries who he credits as the club music Godfather who turned him out. An avid record collector to this day he began familiarizing himself with spinning in early 90’s & became a known dancer in warehouse, lofts, and after hours. Around this time he was asked to curate mixes for a college station and focused on obscure international club music.  He still spins records preferably. 

Around 2012 Mars established a friendship w/ the Chicago based collective, Excursions, helmed by DJs Cordell Johnson & James Vincent. After relocating to Chicago he began hosting their wildly successful gathering rooted in Chicago but branched out in Japan, Detroit, & Atlanta. Artist like Jay Daniel, Jose Marquez, Marcellus Pittman, Antonio Ocasio, Loftsoul & countless others were guest at staple venues that include the infamous annual Detroit gathering at the Russell Bazaar Warehouse that drew thousands. 

Pivoting to individual pursuits Mars dove into the craft of DJing as nightlife closed in pandemic. Numerous mixes spurred invites to session from elders like Andres (Specter) Ordonez. These sessions inspired still ongoing gatherings that have seen Chicagodeep, Julion De'Angelo, Chicago Skyway, Noshaluv & other selectors & friends. 

A unique sound he affectionately calls heathenBEAT, Mars prefers a slow-paced, low to ground, slung & intoxicating rhythm that pushes a muddier Detroit sound meshed w/ Chicago’s deep & moody house origin. His roots in Punk often lend to sets going left into unpredictable stretches of obscure & hidden gems. heathenBEAT, which he also calls coarse or irregularity, is music, and way of presenting it, that goes against grain & norms. 

Mario Mars features on domestic & international radio, been booked as remote as Lima Peru, billed on lineups alongside Tony Humphries, Rich Medina, Specter, Damon Lamar, Jose Rico & appeared at Silver Room Block Party, Podlasie Club, Bronzeville Winery, & other esteemed spaces.
