Late night 70's meanderings. Started with a sequence using the Microbrute's sequencer, tweaked and recorded live, then layered some leads (if you can call them that) over the top. All Microbrute, recorded using Cubasis on an iPad with AuFX Dub and Altispace for delay and reverb.

A quick first test recording - I just wanted to hear a single VCO and the filter in isolation first.  I start with the triangle wave, then introduce the saw, followed by the square with PWM using the filter's 3 attenuated audio inputs. Later introducing some emphasis/resonance and back to just the triangle wave. Very simple stuff.  More involved recordings and videos soon to follow featuring this beautiful sounding instrument.

All three (3) pieces are based on the same simple melody. 
They just have different arrangements and dynamics.
As in Life, dissonance eventually evolves and resolves.
All software, no hardware synthezisers.

Dancing with Dissonance 1

I felt like paying a musical tribute to the era of the Apollo Project. It doesn't seem like it has been that long ago, but it really has been almost 50 years! To this date the Saturn V rocket is the tallest, heaviest and most powerful rocket.
I hope you enjoy my little movie score.
