What happened to my life?
Has it all gone away?
I sit here in this dark room
And watch the pouring rain

There's nothing left for me
And the time is running out
Some days I feel so old
And the rain keeps falling down

What about all my dreams?
It has not always been this way
The little child inside me
I guess he ran away

The boy had all the chances
The whole life ahead of him
And the doors beside his path
Were open and waiting

What about that little boy?
What happened to his dreams?
He kept on waiting for someone
To show him the way

But as time got by
He realized 
That no-one was going to come
And the path so bright
Was now full of thorns
And dark clouds covered the sun

But some day it'll rise
And shed it's light
On the boy, the dreams, the path
And he will find
The door he's looking for
Is waiting for him open wide

What about the rain?
It has to stop some day
And this dark and empty room, the life of mine
Will bathe in light again
