Procedure:
A MIDI sequence was created with Elektron Octatrack,
which drives a piano track in Ableton.
The sequence was then broken down into four melodic lines.
The first line were transposed by +7 semintones
the second by +11 semitones
the third -13 semitones
the fourth line remains in the same pitch
then the harmony was extracted from each melodic line.
For each track, the ghost plays its part and sings as it pleases.
Next, for the sake of musicality, each ghost decides which notes to play and which to omit from its part.
During the performance the Time increase and the ensemble takes place

The only sound source here is my stratocaster with signal splitted to acoustic guitar soundhole magnetic pickup (which I played with my right hand as a pick/slide/ebow). Both signals went through Boss Line Selector, then some fuzz and for a short time my old Yamaha octaver. Last on the signal chain was Warm Audio Ring modulator which was mainly off. 

I composed a piece which has overlayered 1-3 tracks simultaniously. No post effects in DAW. For percussive parts and coda I played the springs of vibrato system. Those I miked with this magnetic acoustic guitar pickup.

I translate the title to my language, catalan. "Drawn back by the sea" is "Arrossegat per la mar" on my island. In Catalonia, they say: "Arrossegat pel mar". The Balearic form is more poetic for me.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.

I am not a musician. I am a scavenger of sounds. I use the most basic software to process those sounds, stretching and filtering until something emerges that makes a joyful noise. Or not...
