Sharing The Vibe Special 2nd Birthday Set by Don Juan Mezcal

The sound of desert blues has been a major influence on my musical taste since I first came into contact with it in my early teenage years. The expression of the culture of the traditionally nomadic people of the Sahara region is a beautiful blend of many different styles that speak to my soul. 

In this ecstatic desert dance mix, I've compiled some of the original gems and many great edits from some of my favorite producers. The second anniversary of the FB group "Sharing the Vibe" is a perfect opportunity to share these amazing grooves with a fine heart community who appreciate these treasures as much as I do. This mix is a compilation of my favourite early electronic and folk records, as well as abstract hip-hop and experimental music from contemporary artists. It came out gentle, quirky and full .

This set was recorded on 24.10.24 at Воробушек listening Bar that's located inside Marco Polo Hotel in Moscow, Russia. 

Artwork used for cover is a segment of a piece “Seishū Hanaoka’s Wife” (1970) by Awazu Kiyoshi. Check him out!

With the Title name "Grazing in the grass" paying tribute to the late great South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela. TPS 030 - GRAZING IN THE GRASS

On April 19th, DJs for Climate Action (DJS4CA) present the second annual EARTH NIGHT; an initiative harnessing the energy of the global nightlife scene to raise awareness and funds for climate action.  Taking place in the week leading up to Earth Day, the team will release an impressive music compilation and sponsor parties in Brooklyn and beyond to shine light on the challenge facing our planet and the unique role musicians can play.  

This year DJS4CA launch EARTH NIGHT RECORDS with a compilation that gathers new music from over 50 artists from 12 countries including Simon Meija (Bomba Estereo), Infinity Ink, Nicola Cruz, Little Boots, and many others. It will become available for pre-order exclusively through Bandcamp starting March 11th, and tracks will drop every week leading up to the full release on 4/19.

Proceeds from all EARTH NIGHT activities will fund projects focused on effective climate action through direct partnerships. This includes work at the nexus of renewable energy, health and education with Little Sun, boosting the global climate youth movement with Earth Guardians, and offsetting the impact of DJ air travel with CO2 Logic.
