Next up in our UndrCtrl Guest Mix series is Toronto’s own Farouki, who’s been turning heads with a slick blend of old-school flavour and forward-thinking club energy.

His recent ‘Freedom To Be’ EP, out now on Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings, captures exactly what makes his sound stand out. On the A-side, the title track leans into classic hip-house vibes—tight percussion, rolling grooves, and nostalgic vocal cuts that give the whole thing a proper late-night feel. Flip it over to ‘Peeple’ and you get something a bit more hypnotic. Farouki chops and warps a vocal sample into a tight rhythm that bounces with purpose. It’s club music that knows its roots but isn’t afraid to push into new territory.

In this mix, Farouki brings the same freedom and fluidity he talks about in the studio. Expect crisp drums, subtle vocal hooks, and that blend of old and new that’s fast becoming his signature. Whether you’re in the middle of a set or winding down at home, this one’s built to keep you moving.

Farouki’s already had releases on DPE, Mood Child, Rawthentic, and Of Unsound Mind, with support from names like Marco Carola, Skream, Paco Osuna, and Stacey Pullen. But this mix shows where he’s at right now—in the zone, sharp with the selections, and stepping confidently into his sound.

Prima Lux: Ary Sya

Thaddeus X, a Spanish DJ and music producer, has spent over ten years deeply connected to the culture of the Dominican Republic, where he has honed his distinctive sound. His music combines elements from different times and genres, merging modern electronic rhythms with echoes of the past. Influenced by the European club scene of the early 2000s, his sets are charged with the raw energy of House and Techno, yet he reaches beyond to include touches of New Wave, EBM, and the soulful grooves of Leftfield disco.

CCFLOCKI is a German-based artist who discovered his love for electronic music back in the ’90s, with roots in breaks, drum’n’bass, and the techno of Frankfurt’s Harthouse label.

Inspired by the vanguard sound of Innervisions and the legendary Robert Johnson Club in the early 2000s, he delved deeper into the more profound spheres of techno and house.

Nowadays, his style moves between deep progressive and organic Afrohouse. 
His sets are an invitation to a trippin journey, where deep rolling basslines merge with atmospheric themes—always with the intention of weaving a sonic carpet that keeps you going for hours and makes you lose your sense of time and space.
