Farouki is an artist from Toronto Canada, Bringing a cutting edge sound of Tech House that is quirky and fresh with no limitations in his music. His powerful grooves are made to move and built for the clubs, keeping true to the underground sound. With an upbringing in his home city Toronto he has kept his ears to the underground music scene along with travels across the world to major music capitols to find the music he loves. His wide listening variety of music from growing up in the 1990s to present day are all influences in his creations rooting from hip hop and dance music cultures. He has started to make himself known as an underground dance music artist with his music supported by top names and labels. His music is signed to top labels such as DPE, Issues, Purveyor Underground , Rawthentic ,Techaway Recs, and  Agape Muzik. He continues to release consistently leaving us with anticipation on his next releases. His sound is unique and defined, signature basslines, glitchy percussions and grooves topped with surprise elements. Expect to see more coming from Farouki as he continues to deliver us exciting sounds.

Next up in our UndrCtrl Guest Mix series is Toronto’s own Farouki, who’s been turning heads with a slick blend of old-school flavour and forward-thinking club energy.

His recent ‘Freedom To Be’ EP, out now on Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings, captures exactly what makes his sound stand out. On the A-side, the title track leans into classic hip-house vibes—tight percussion, rolling grooves, and nostalgic vocal cuts that give the whole thing a proper late-night feel. Flip it over to ‘Peeple’ and you get something a bit more hypnotic. Farouki chops and warps a vocal sample into a tight rhythm that bounces with purpose. For Episode 38 of UndrCtrl, we’re joined by BL SUEDE, artist, label head and cultural agitator flying the flag for house music with purpose.

His latest release, “Fire (Kevin Saunderson, Dantiez E Dancer Detroit Dub)”, is more than a remix. It is a heavy blend of legacy, lineage and intent. Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and his son Dantiez bring weight and vision to the rework, linking generations and cities through groove and resistance.

The original track, co-produced with Mark Cole, opens with the voice of Dr Cornel West and takes cues from James Baldwin’s “The Fire Next Time”. The message is clear. The music is built to move bodies and minds.

That same duality runs through this guest mix. It is deep and focused. Rich in rhythm, thick with soul. From the poetic pulse of OVEOUS and the warmth of Luis Radio to late-night rollers by Julio Bashmore and Catz’ n Dogz, this set tells a story without shouting.

Along the way, BL SUEDE weaves in his own work, from the sunlit throb of “Glam Life” to the full-circle energy of “For Your Love”.

The latest UndrCtrl mix comes courtesy of Norwegian DJ and producer BAKKIS, who delivers a deep, groove-driven session featuring rolling rhythms and stripped-back energy.

The set features his latest single ‘H.P.S.’, out now on his label Okada Records. Built around a spoken-word vocal that echoes the candid tone of The Streets, the track strikes a balance between raw emotion and a locked-in house groove. ‘H.P.S.’ follows Okada Records’ debut release ‘Inna Fire’ — a percussive, low-slung cut that drew early support from Jamie Jones, MK, Claptone, and Marco Carola. With just two tracks released, the label is already defining a focused sound rooted in minimalism and instinct.

Outside of Okada, BAKKIS has a history of releases on labels like Dumb Safari and is also one of the minds behind R-Trybe, the collaborative label and platform founded with Huxley and Ramin Rezaie. R-Trybe exists to support DJs, producers, and vocalists with resources, opportunities, and a space to release music outside of the traditional system.

This UndrCtrl mix reflects that collaborative mindset. It’s a tight and confident ride, spotlighting R-Trybe talent alongside cuts from Solid Grooves, Poker Flat, Cécille Records, and more.

Episode 40 of UndrCtrl lands with Joey London Style, a North London talent making noise from Manchester to Miami.

His “Strange Dream” EP dropped recently on Cuttin’ Headz, marking his debut for The Martinez Brothers’ label. It is a strong statement. Hypnotic, late-night rollers built for deep systems and sweaty rooms. The title track leans into warped synths and sultry vocals. “Soul Sucker” goes heavier, digging into bassy grooves and twisted loops. Both are stripped, sharp and ready to work. Joey’s style sits right in the pocket. Gritty but groovy, minimal but never flat. Previous outings on Deeperfect and Take Notes earned him support from Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and Michael Bibi. This latest release puts him front and centre.

The mix reflects that same energy. No filler. Just heads-down house from across the minimal spectrum. Tracks from Traumer, Ray Mono, Distilled Noise and Casper Schulz keep things tight and percussive, with flickers of melody and bounce throughout.

Following a standout release on SOSA’s COCO imprint last month, Norwegian DJ and producer Casper Schulz now joins the UndrCtrl mix series for edition 041. A rising name within the European minimal and tech house scene, Schulz has been shaping his sound, focusing on subtle builds, rolling drums, and tight percussion. His latest EP, released on June 6th, featured two tracks: the warped, club-ready ‘Absurdity’ and the deeper, more atmospheric ‘He Wanted To Fly’. Both showcased his growing range and eye for the dancefloor.

His UndrCtrl mix keeps that same energy. It’s a blend of tightly wound rhythms, moody textures, and groove-led selections that build and shift with intent. The mix features cuts from artists like Traumer, Michael James, Ray Mono and Cessy, as well as two unreleased IDs from Schulz himself, giving a glimpse into what’s coming next.

Casper has already earned co-signs from the likes of SOSA and joined the bill for COCO’s Off Sonar showcase in Barcelona this summer. With his profile on the rise, this mix lands at the perfect time to showcase both his taste and vision.
