In the year 2042 everyone uses cannabis in one form or another. The World Government grows all of the marijuana in a facility in South Africa. It is illegal to grow your own or smoke unregulated marijuana. The marijuana they grow is genetically modified to make giant elephant sized buds to keep up with the demand. One afternoon a bungling nurse drops a jar of mealybugs which feed on marijuana. During the night the bugs feed on the plants and grow to monstrous proportions.
