Giuseppe aka Z.i.p.p.o is one of the key figure that has been shaping the scene in the region for years. And not only.
Giuseppe is Berlin-based but still very close to the territory, he's always very acclaimed and a kind of local here for us all.
This year he had to play a warm up set into the new and cozy techno stage and as usual he doesn't disappoint.
A nice and eclectic mix that, thru his energetic personality behind the booth, set up the right mood on the dance-floor.

In his own words: “The rhythm propels the machine while the textures and tones build the vast expanse in which the machine explores new territory”. Moy Santana’s superb electro remix gives the EP an extra punch. A record suited well for both driving in the night rain or dancing until the sunrise.

If you look hard enough, you can find infinite detail in any minuscule sound. Our next guest, Roma Zuckerman, is an expert at extracting these details and pulling them apart to reveal their true complexity. Originally hailing from the subzero climate of Siberia, he is no stranger to the frozen ethos of Russian electronic music. With releases on renowned labels such as Nina Kraviz's трип, he has gained a following for his refreshingly off-kilter productions and mixes. As this particularly difficult year comes to a close and we take a moment to pause and reflect, he guides us through our inner conflicts to bring a sense of peace and gratefulness. OHM has an impressive catalog of releases and is well known within the dub techno scene
already. One thing has united his previous releases and that‘s the fact
they have been done in collaboration with others such as
with Exos, Octal Industries, and Kvadrant. Now X/OZ offers
the debut solo release by OHM and what a beauty it is!

Side A begins with Going Back, an enigmatic & atmospheric dub journey. The track slowly unravels with dub chords and glacial pads captivating the listener and ultimately creating a universe of impenetrable soundscapes. Next is As We See It Coming, a late-night club scorcher. It's dark and heavy and absolutely relentless.

The flipside starts with Fever, a fast percussion-based
techno banger. The EP is rounded up by Seidingur, a minimalistic and meditative work that slowly expands and elucidates into a broad atmospheric techno anthem a perfect soundtrack to sunrise after a busy summer night at the club. The debut solo EP by OHM has been a long time in the making and finally, the results have been broadcasted into the cosmos. This is a must for fans of out of box techno with elements of atmospheric dub. An essential for the crate diggers.

XOZ has been operating since 2017 and is this the ninth release so far. Also operating under the same regime is the side label Planet X, where the harder side of techno is explored. Both of the labels are the brainchild of the Icelandic techno artist Exos.

We are very happy to start a new podcast series, focusing on Ambient music. For the first episode, we honored to welcome the Berlin-based DJ X tin. 

Enjoy this beautiful 1 hour trip, between dark and atmospheric vibes through drone and field recording sounds.

Those Ambient Sleepers podcasts will be aired bi-monthly on the radio Refuge Worldwide / @refugeworldwide (a fundraising platform working with a young womxn’s centre, refugee, etc.. / offering visibility to minorities and fights against all kinds of discrimination).

Austrian-born, she started off producing electronic music and being active part of Salzburgs underground techno szene, with two releases out on local labels. Berlin shaped her exploring worlds between dark dystopian techno, hypnotic and experimental ambient, which she blends in carefully curated mixes since 2015.

X tin, in her hometown by choice, played at many major venues and events, amongst others - THE BRVTALIST in Ohm and FLEISCH, further in Munich, Rote Sonne for Mess. Internationally, her music could be heard in Paris Champ Libre, fashion weeks Cicciolina Party, Organik festival afterparty in Korner-Taipei, PAG in Tel Aviv, EXILE and APHOTIC in New York and Volnost in Seoul. She holds residencies in Disciplina - Vladivostok/RU, Trashera - Berlin and Heizkeller - Salzburg.

In her own productions, field recording plays an essential role. Shapeshifting sound experiments, drifting from meditative dream like ethereal scenes to intense bone deep noise nightmares, presented in the form of live pieces for various performances by Butoh dancer VALENTIN TSZIN in Russia and various locations all over europe.

She uses sound to connect to the crowd through deep emotions and fills up the room with atmospheric intense trips in waveform. Distorting genres, blurring lines between styles and layering sceneries, while never lacking a specific taste and powerful character. An eclectic choice of rhythms are sending travellers through deep ambient, mesmerizing electronic up to dark hypnotic- and energetic industrial techno.

Her signature is described by a room full of intense feelings, sweat and a never lost lust for moving bodies.
