Based out of Bangkok, he spends his time DJing and co-running the imprint Siamese Twins Records, which is focused on exposing upcoming talent from Asia and acts as a platform for exploring everything from ceremonial chants to Bollywood-inspired acid. 

As a selector and curator, Sunju's inexplicable ability to meld cultures, rhythms, and timbres has earned him a respected reputation at home and abroad. In fact, it was at their gig together in Leipzig at Institut für Zukunft that Unrush founder Mareena and him realized they were both fans of each other. In this spirit of musically-bonded friendships, it was only natural to have him contribute to the series. Let yourself dissipate into the mist with this ambient masterclass from Sunju Hargun.

Pacifist Techno Sanctuary at FM 2023 w/ TSUNIMAN

Repping an oft overlooked Swiss techno contingent comes the next guest in Bassiani’s podcast series. Basel born and raised Garçon is one of the most promising names to call the bucolic town on the shores of the Rhine his home. He got an early start, mixing from the age of 14 and booked a mere two years later, assiduously cobbling together influences in his early work and soon delivering performances city-wide. First those at Hinterhof (now closed) and then those at local staple Elysia. With musical collaborator Agonis he’s also fired up techno label Amenthia Recordings, an agar dish for like-minded Basel music makers. His own sonic experiments are a purely live affair, and that’s no bad thing. Garçon’s escapades, from Waking Life to Barcelona’s Parallel have honed his voice and made of him an adept hand when faced with the strenuous demands of modulating crowd energy. Nodding to a range of influences across the electronic map he harbours a superlative talent for finding niche sounds at the fringes of common scope. Enter Podcast 208: towering, no-bullshit sounds, an hour of ghostly, mechanical whispers and powerful basslines, earth-shaking and infinitesimally precise techno from this connoisseur selector.

Octo Åeterna joins us with a live recording of his DJ Set from Onyro Methods night at Espacio Perpendicular located in Madrid, Spain in February of this year.

Expect a somewhat eclectic set which Octo himself defines as  “A breakfast in DUB”.  A session made from 10am to 1pm of experimental beats for a 3 hours long trip going from different intentionality’s and emotions but at the same time, with a core sound thats the conductor element of the session.

Mariachiara Troianiello, the Italian sound artist behind the moniker Katatonic Silentio, works at the crossroads of electronic music, performing arts and sound studies. Active as a DJ for more than 15 years, her sets adopt multiple forms, fluctuating between an analogue past and a technological, fast-paced future. At times, her sets focus on pure abstraction, consisting of ethereal soundscapes that seek to transcend the tangible through a mix of musique concrète, world, spoken word, ambient or dub. At others, they come across as concrete and club-oriented, crossing techno, broken beats or drum'n'bass.

For MNMT 457, Katatonic Silentio presents this exceptional mix that intricately evolves with subtle and nuanced layers into a delicate yet mind-bending trip of unconventional rhythms and textures. Float into the depths now.

Freshly arrived in the scene, su:zy is a Brussels-based artist blending deep and atmospheric sounds with progressive music from the early days. Former professional dancer and now part of the Gimic Radio team, he navigates between the different layers and atmospheres of club music from floaty dubby techno to IDM and ear-prickling textures.

He tries to incorporate his sensitivity for dancing into a unique journey leading the audience through a sonic and introspective musical trip.
