After a little break, we are back and happy to present our ongoing series „mixed feelings“.

This time we have a mix by Etari , who you could tell is real voyager since our first VA. Based in Los Angeles (California) , she’s conquering the dancefloors and producing the vibes. After her recent releases on Don’t Need A Million, 100% Silk , Low Recordings and Yellow Island Records, she surely left her fingerprint on the electronic music scene. 

Her artistic styles ranging from Deep and Acid House into dreamy Breakbeats and Ambient synthscapes. Truly knowing how to express herself in sound and that’s everything we’re looking for. The mix itself is a journey from ravy house grooves switching into garage and breakbeat.

Diese erste Perle von @santiago-jovit habe ich beim Draußen-Rauchen im Schaufenster von @sleeveplusplus entdeckt. Das Cover hat mich geschickt und deswegen wollte ich mal reinhören. Nur Track A2 hat mich komplett abgeholt. Trotzdem habe ich mich erst beim zweiten Sleeve-Besuch durchringen können sie mitzunehmen, weil ich mit meinem Kumpel von @peter_sniffin zusammen reingehört hab. Wir waren uns einig. Der perfekte letzte Track, den ich euch aber zur Feier des Anlasses als erstes kredenzen möchte. Obacht: abruptes Ende

Nr. 2 von @binarydigit wollte ich schon lange Mal in ein Set einbringen aber habe es dann immer gelassen, weil die Stimmung so unstimmig zu den anderen Platten erschien aber in sich ist sie ultra stimmig und schön melancholisch, idm-ish, sphärisch und mit Happy End. So hab ichs gern.
Gerade ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Platte eigentlich auf 45 läuft und ich sie immer auf 33 höre XD

Mein neuer Kumpel von Self Lerning System @friedrich_ernst  hat mir zu unserem Kennenlernen im @vary_leipzig seine erste verlegte Platte geschenkt. Das lädt das Teil natürlich mit Extrabedeutung auf. Deshalb auch an dieser Stelle herzlichen Glückwunsch zu eurem „Alt-Herren-Electro“-Debut 😉 Euer Ansatz zum autodidaktischen Produzieren elektronischer Musik hat mich begeistert.

Bad_Mix Mentindo para um computador EP

Samuel Malbon a.k.a. "Bad_Mix" is a reference as a producer, songwriter, DJ and is now the author of our 11th release. Between smoky jams with lots of synths and drum machines, he produced this EP which shows much of his versatility and personality. He is also one of the founders of "Caldo", a street party, and the nucleus "Obra" - and now he brings all of his musical baggage to our label.

“Mentindo para um Computador” (Lying to a Computer) is a collection of three tracks that feature variations of acid house, breakbeat and dub. Through spacial atmospheres and broken beats, Bad_Mix brings an acidity not only to the tones and also to the album's theme as a whole.

Underneath unlimited filters and exposure, we live in a time where the truth doesn't matter and lies do more than break hearts. We look in a mirror and don't perceive ourselves as who we really are or could be. Lying to a Computer is about lying to yourself.
