M.RUX records legendary set after legendary set, and he's back after some time since his last one, joining us for our birthday número cinco. Soulful, bluesy, world exotica, misty psychedelia and of course, crazy good drums. 

"It's all framed in by samples of Georges Perec and Bernard Queysanne's film:
"Un Homme Qui Dort" from 1974 
which to seems fit our current situation pretty well."

Connecting for such a special moment, the artwork comes from a collab between collage geniuses Ventral is Golden and Dima Rabik. Their visual work is enchanting and them working together for this is just heartwarming.

You know how much we love using the word “eclectic” when it comes to describing mixtapes? Well, it can’t get any more balearic, tropical, sunsetting, mystical, enchanted, relaxing and dreamy than a Fog Puma mix. 

A true celebration of slow grooves, dense surfaces and world rhythms. 

Fog Puma is always exploring the outer edges of dance music; you can clearly hear his interest in new wave, synth pop and cosmic, with a big touch of african and south american rhythms. His sets are percussive, dubby, preferably psychedelic and most likely driving relaxed in slower to mid tempo areas.

He is currently hosting the Mystic Moods nights at Berlin's rooftop adventure garden Klunkerkranich, where shared the stage with M.Rux, Don't DJ, Nu Guinea, Spatz Habibi, Kundan Lal, Len Leise, Philipp Matalla, Dj SoFa, Andi Otto, and Islandman, among others. Since 2008, he is presenting the incredible Abendlandung radio show (2008 - 2017 on underground radio station Piradio, since 2017 on experimental radio station Cashmere), where he shares his musical discoveries: everything old and new between ambient, soundtracks, avant garde, minimal music, post punk, downbeat, lysergica, outsider music, strange choirs, and other unusual sounds.

After being absent for many months, we would like to revive our podcast series by introducing you to one of the finest artists we could ever present - Danaga! (https://soundcloud.com/danaga)
This superb producer was born and raised in one of the wildest and mysterious areas of the old continent: the region of Transylvania, in Romania, where he grew up in the analog era, studying the classic guitar and the piano and collecting music on cassettes.  The secrecy and mystique of that land is well represented in Danaga’s productions, which are beautifully displayed in the live recording. For this Mix he used Elektron Analog Keys, Hohner Pianet T, Memory Man Analog Delay, a cheap romanian Stratocaster Guitar, Kaoss Pad, PVC homemade flutes and various percussion instruments. It comes as a sort of music diary telling of the ‘transformative experience’ he went through while experimenting with those Instruments in the last years. Unlike other mixes of our series, this is not a musical journey, but rather a flow which is neither meant to lead anywhere, nor to serve a function. It is only meant to be. This intriguing concept follows the ideas of the British philosopher and writer Alan Watts, which inspired Danaga while recording the mix.

Originally from France, Laurence moved to Brasil 10 years ago and since then has been involved in the Voodoohop collective. A Macaca (literally the female Monkey) emerged during the Voodoohop Party as a performing entity that toys with contradiction and expectation.
Her identity is in constant mutation, playfully transforming between animal and human, masculine and feminine. Blurring the boundaries between public and performer, she connects with her surroundings by dancing, feeding the floor as if it were a big fire, the music; the wood found on her path and her mixing; a way to adjust the intensity of the flames. Her mix oscillates between tension and release, surfing on the waves of harmonies and hormones.
