Here's the first track off Ted Taforo's next album in line titled "Bacon Lettuce & Tmrw" which will be released over the next few months via Urban Waves Records.
Dog Dad is dedicated to our recently deceased and much loved dog Darcy. The tune features Zephyr Avalon on bass and Efajemue on drums. 
The music combines influences and elements from Lofi hip hop with more traditional harmonic jazz structures. You can hear some of Darcy's last few barks on earth recorded accidentally in the piano mic, about an hour before he passed away.
Dog Dad is a bittersweet song full of energy and love that sweeps the listeners off their feet for a short but meaningful while with jazzed beats and catchy melodies.

“In Tongues” is the first single from the upcoming album by jazz pianist Joost Swart, drummer Bjorn Waling and producer Jesse Koolhaas. The album features improvisations recorded in a two-day session with guest musicians, such as Joris Roelofs on bass clarinet and Jeroen Vierdag on bass. The music blends the instruments into a unique sound that defies genres. Is it jazz or electronic music? It is both and neither. The song showcases the creativity and synergy of these talented artists. 

For the track In Tongues guest musicians Joris Roelofs (bass clarinet) and Jeroen Vierdag (bass) were asked to join in.

For the next track in our new series “Beats Nouveau” we have “Paradis” by Spanish producer, Kyomi. With this track he’s defying the norms of Sevilla’s music scene and delivers a stunning experimental jazz piece. The listeners are transported to a heavenly realm by the melancholic saxophone and the rich piano sounds. ‘Paradis’ is a creative and unique piece that blends bossa nova rhythms with a progressive structure, creating a captivating and unconventional musical journey. This track showcases the artist’s love and skill for jazz and its variations, a reflection of his devotion to the musical art.

Ted discovered his passion for food and pizza making during the pandemic. He learned the art of making pizza and found it to be a way of nourishing himself and reconnecting with his family and heritage. Pizza Dreams is a track that express this warm feeling of sharing a delicious meal with friends and family. Joined by Efajemue on the drums, Zephyr Avalon on the bass and Paul Grant on the guitar. This joint will water your mouth with its rich and delightful flavour.

‘Down the path’ conveys a melancholy feeling to the listener as it encourages deep thought and introspection with a wide array of unusual instruments such as the Guzheng. Six Shooter is a song that showcases the creativity and versatility of Joost Swart, Bjorn Waling, and Jesse Koolhaas. They recorded their improvisations on piano, drums, and various instruments, and mixed them with vintage synths and film scoring techniques. They also invited Reinier Baas and Jeroen Vierdag to add their guitar and bass skills to the track. Six Shooter is a song that will surprise and delight you with its musical diversity and richness.

Panther Attack is a funk/groove track by Ted Taforo, a saxophonist and composer who graduated from CalArts. The track is inspired by the friendships he made with other musicians at CalArts, such as Efajemue, who also plays on the track. The track showcases the “panther” style that they developed together, which combines elements of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music.
