Heavy As Bones focuses on body image (dysmorphia) and no matter how hard you try to lift the weight of the downside of life, your bones always stay heavy.  I have a friend who was experiencing a difficult time in life with body dysmorphia, and I wanted to show my support to my friend and all who experience this.

Some Patience is a meaningful theme based off Human Construct with quoted lyrics “Understand, we all need Some Patience sometimes in the end.”  The song focuses on not holding back from achieving your own accomplishments and serves as a reminder that patience and hard work will pay off “in the end, my friend”.

Dark Soul is my first rock ballad and expresses my struggle with depression. The pandemic put me in a dark place. I felt that I had no control of my life, and I could not escape the “Dragon” that was devouring me (My Dark Soul, meaning my depression). I realized my sadness was consuming my love for life, and I needed to heal and overcome the darkness.  So, I took control, became stronger, and focused on the positive.

Venom tells the story of two friends jumping into a relationship together, and later realizing they were toxic for each other.  Their relationship ended on an extremely bad note.  I focused on their frustration and anger within the chorus and distortion of the guitars clashing with the vocals. The outro represents growth and strength coming out of the relationship’s struggles.

“Prove It" is not a song, it’s a declaration. Born from betrayal & built on grit, it calls out the poser who tried to wear my skin, steal the sound, & silence the voice. You can't clone what's real. It is a thunderous alt-rock gut-punch, drop-tuned guitars soaked in overdrive, a rhythm section that steamrolls time. Vocals ride the razor’s edge of melody & menace. Picture Halestorm’s fire, Paramore’s urgency, & the shadowy allure of Evanescence.
