The 'Random Access Memories: Fluence Remixed' project is the combination of various tracks from the 'Random Access Memories' album remixed by me, this album means a lot to me, it took me some time to appreciate it more and more with the years and ever since their break-up announcement in 2021, I've gone back much more frequently to this album and listened to all of the different details and techniques the duo used to craft this album. This remix project was conceived quite closely as the goal was to produce a tribute remix album using different techniques whether it's adding new elements such as a vocal, some new chords or even cutting up the song into different sections and re-arranging it and trying to pay homage and respect it as an overall album. What I find great about this album is that there are many people who have been influenced by this project and you can find many, many remixes online of the different tracks and it really feels like a tribute to music overall but it also feels like a gift for everyone who wants to remix or sample this album, thank you to Daft Punk for this amazing masterpiece of an album, you guys have shown us that albums like this that take you on a journey can still live on forever and ever.

My remix of Daft Punk's 'Give Life Back To Music' featuring some new elements and the target was to give it a disco feel especially with that beat which I feel is very disco-inspired and just classic 70s disco all through and through. 
And you mustn't forget Nile Rodgers' guitar sequence and those classic loud claps that we've heard on a lot of classic disco records back in the day.

A rather different remix than usual, I decided to make this remix but with some mash-up inspirations, I took 'Instant Crush' from 'Random Access Memories', put it at its original tempo, then I used the 'Face To Face' acapella and micro-samples, pitched them to the 'Instant Crush' key and remixed the whole thing and added a few new edits & effects and this is the finished product that I'm really proud of !!!

This remix serves as the 2nd single from the 'Random Access Memories: Remixed' conceptual remix album produced by Fluence. The full remix album will be available soon and stay tuned for the upcoming remixes to celebrate the 10th anniversary of 'Random Access Memories'.

My remix of 'Fragments Of Time', this is one of my favourite songs off of 'Random Access Memories' which I adore, it features Todd Edwards who had previously sung on 'Face To Face' off of their 'Discovery' record and it is very different from 'Face To Face' actually, it feels very country-esque, I'd even go as to say it's a beautiful piece of soft rock music and it even has like a funk drum beat to it, I wanted to experiment with this song and make a remix that doesn't change much from the original like a tribute remix, I added a few piano chords, some guitar chords as well and a synth line as well while also doing a few cut-ups to give it that little 'Face To Face' feel and this is the result, I love Todd Edwards' vocals on here, he sounds so good and I loved listening to 'The Writing Of Fragments Of Time' on the 10th anniversary re-release of 'Random Access Memories'.

Daft Punk - 'Fragments Of Time' ft. Todd Edwards [Fluence Remix]

Who is Fluence you may be wondering, here's his full story: 

'Fluence' is a young aspiring musician and also film director, he wrote/directed his first short film back in 2019 titled 'Beyond Dreams' which won an Award and got him his diploma as 'Film director' however when he isn't on set making movies, you can find him in his studio making music. 

He started out back in 2018 doing a few DJ sets in some small bars and then the following year started messing around with samples and loops, he then started learning how to remix following a course he did with a music producer/engineer and went on to make remixes for artists like Daft Punk, Justice, Elton John, Dua Lipa, Todd Edwards, Le Knight Club, Oliver and even planning on remixing his own material. 
These remixes are released on 'Scratched Records', Fluence's label and he was able to remix classic tunes such as 'Rhumba' by Le Knight Club, 'Sacrifice' by Elton John, 'Face To Face' by Daft Punk, 'Go With It' by Oliver and even 'DVNO' by Justice. 

He plans to continue his journey of remixing and also collaborate with other artists while delving into more original projects too and he hopes to be able to share his music to the world and just make people dance and have a good time on the dancefloors and in festivals too.

Surrounding his inspirations, he takes a lot of inspiration from the French electronic duo, Daft Punk and is a fan of 2001's 'Discovery' studio album and their Grammy Award-winning album, 'Random Access Memories', he is also developing with each release his own sound in music.  

He also loves the concept of sampling and filtering forgotten disco loops and reworking them into funky new songs with lyrics written by him and he definitely thinks that the French house movement inspired him a lot in his own material and paying homage to the band he looks up to: Daft Punk.
