Cool spoken word with deep lyrics, great classical feel!

This is some fine storytelling Dave, perhaps even a parable of human purpose cast into an ancient battleground.  It is noteworthy that you proceed from the curious, but orderly circle of trees (witnesses to the battle?) to the disorder of war and carnage.  Perhaps one can muse too deeply, but begs for a song nonetheless.

This is such a thoughtful piece 🌲 It really made me stop and think about how much time we spend trying to find meaning in everything, when sometimes just being alive and looking up at the sky is enough 💭 The lyrics tell a clear story, and I love how it circles back to that peaceful moment at the end. Simple, honest, and powerful. 🔥 The kettle said, “Sometimes stepping back is the wisest move” 🥄 The whisk spun slowly and added, “Not everything needs to be figured out” ❄️ The ice dispenser said, “This one’s quiet but it stays with you”. Really glad I heard this 💚 Your storytelling is wonderful, it pulled me in without needing to be complicated.

Sounds odd but I think I more or less agree with these lyrics. The "purpose" of life or for that matter anything is subject to interpretation. However i do think we spend far too much time and energy searching for a reason or purpose when one probably does not exist. Life is a wonderful accident. This distraction of searching for "meaning" distracts us I think from the practical task at hand: caring for each other and the planet.

Hi, I’m Krissie 💜 I have high functioning autism, which I proudly call a gift, though sometimes it drags me into beautifully bonkers territory. All my life, I’ve had to hide who and what I am. I’ve never been what the world calls “normal.” As I say in 'I Don’t Write Songs "I Survive"', my brain just isn’t wired the way it should be. I’ve been called weird, not right in the head, bonkers, even crazy. So I learned to mask, to shrink, to pretend. But here.. here, I get to breathe. To be.

And it’s not just the music. It’s the comments, the replies, the strange and sparkling conversations where I finally feel like I don’t have to filter myself. I can be full volume, full chaos, full heart, and somehow, that’s not just accepted, it’s welcomed.

You beautiful humans (and possibly aliens) have given me something I never thought I’d find, a place to be fully myself. To speak how I feel, to show what I see, and to turn it all into sound and words without shame. The way you’ve welcomed me, supported me, seen me, there are no words. (Yes, I know. Me. The Queen of Words. Speechless. Don’t get used to it.)

My heart is so full of love and gratitude, I’m honestly surprised it hasn’t burst into glitter. Thank you. All of you. From the very bottom of my shoelaces 🖤🎶🧦
