NB. antigen records was originally created as a joke, to document and preserve the musical heritage of the  East Anglian region of the United Kingdom. The plan was to digitise and reissue a handful of cassette releases by some of the obscure noise-rock bands kicking around in the late 80s and early 90s - including such household names as Bum Gravy, WhiteSlug and Earth Mother Fucker. It is difficult to pinpoint exactly what went wrong.

M.E. stepped into music from childhood. Born in North West London and raised in the borough of Brent, creativity and learning was always something encouraged by his family. ‘Hearing everything from Roots Dub reggae and Sly and the family Stone through to Savannah Band and Electro coming through the speakers at home you could say has moulded my musical sensibilities thanks to my dad being involved with music, owning a record shop and small independent Label from back in the day. I couldn’t really avoid hearing sounds, as they were everywhere. My brothers were no different and I was enthusiastic about things that they were excited about. Hip-Hop being one of them.
Every song in my catalogue doesn’t  deal with hitting the usual buttons the typical rapper thinks they have to because the struggle whatever that maybe comes in various shades. When I was just starting out thinking about doing this I always knew my ‘alias’ would be me in the abbreviated form because It worked as some sort of reminder to myself to be true to self and not lose sight of that: Marcus Explains originated as an elaboration on a family joke that I always had an answer for everything- the other reason maybe is that I’m my mothers last child and thus a self centred tyrant! 
I came up with this just being a dream I’d talk about with my brothers and school friends.  In the early days I’d put songs together with long time friends in the area like Yankee and Kevin James. This continued onto creating music as part of a collective that included- Lef, T-Rebel and Xorcis great M.C’s in their own right. In these formative years I’d collaborate with other individuals here an there like Micall Parknsun (then known as Parkee) his partner in rhyme R.A.M. ,Al Simmons and Kyza ,nothing major it was pretty short lived; Other notables who have seen my journey from the start are brothers like D‘Lux, a respected producer and also someone who I’ve known since youth.Some of these works were released others were wasted opportunities-the way things were going I have to admit, it had me somewhat jaded like, what’s the point as the buying public in the U.K. doesn’t support the U.K. That was a frustrating time but what helped me was connecting with my cousin MC/Producer Propa and through him getting introduced to another great up and coming producer A.C. Layne ; their energy was a great revitalising inspiration.  We’d record where we could -community centre studios to bedroom set-up’s, it didn’t matter, as long as we could get the work done. They were a major help at that time and we’ve been working on music together ever since.

Things became even more settled once I got introduced to a collective called Uprock and started renting out their studio.Those session birthed the Elohymns EP. So as we arrive in the present times,  Besides Prop’s and A.C., with the addition of another brilliant brother by the name of Illicit Hekau also down the line  Savvy and Rainmayqah - that’s the team until anything changes’. 

Never one to rap for the sake of it -maintaining some form of creative integrity is paramount to M.E.-He has to be moved by his own work as a fan of the music before anyone else can. Moving people in the emotional sense as well as the physical with his music is a mission he will never tire of.

Known as the French gay scene pioneer, composer, producer, Xavier Seulmand began his DJ’ing career back in 1983. He then established himself as one of the main DJs on the French gay scene holding residencies at the BH and at Le Club (Paris), a venue where, from 1986 to 1997, he became an emblematic figure for the Butch parties (1st edition 1998-2004) and Home Deluxe. At the same time, he performed for various GTD such as Le Palace (1992-1993), La Scala (2002 and 2007/2008) and Les Bains-Douches (2006) as well as for numerous parties known as Dispatch, Submission, Blaukaus, Decadence, Atmosphere, Juice (Amsterdam), Space of Sound (Madrid, Paris), Gus Deluxe (Paris, London, Brussels), Splash, Magnetik, Crazyvores, Pinky Boat, Physical, D-Sturb, What Else, 20000, Play, Relax, Paris-circuit, Cardiodancing, TrashNight, Beardrop… 

He also appeared at venues such as the world-renowned Queen club, Redlight, La Loco, L’Empire, Mix, L’Elysée Montmatre, Concorde Atlantique, Palais de Tokyo, Maxim’s, Skandalo, Spyce, La Scéne-Bastille, Cox , Freedj ... and took part in various Prides (Marseilles, Bordeaux, Nantes, Paris) as well as in fashion events (LVMH, Fendi, DIM, Alex Rotin...).

Influenced by many bands (Depeche Mode, DAF, Killing Joke, New Order, Bowie, Visage…), he rapidly created his own style which is easily recognizable and he is now famous for his harmonious and flowing blends and remixes. His music is very well-structured and often fuses various pieces which he frequently renews so as to appropriate them and  get a new sound out of it. He’s also the leader of the Progressive House.

Combine a pinch of joke, 6 fat tablespoons of irony, 9 cups of fantasy, and a few drops of reality (trust us, a few drops of this is potent or it’ll end up too rancid to taste) on a cold table. Preheat furnace. Fold the mustang juice in then give the mix a tight, hard and rhythmic whip. Pour in an equal part of sweat (preferably a human blend) then bash everything together with four strings to form cutthroat peaks. Display a wide array of vocal and/or physical abilities to ferment the batter (for instance, spoon feed a plastic baby while crying for the batter). Fermentation is complete once it starts bubbling vigorously. Drop it into the burning pit and let it bathe in madhouse temperature until it is on the brink of explosion. Glaze it with sparkles and slime.

It has been 10 years since I started procrastinating about whether or not to do anything with my music. It was always the annoying combination of cost plus stupidly wanting to make money from it. 19 year old me was an idiot. For the last 10 years I’ve been my only fan, listening to my own songs wondering “Should I or shouldn’t I?” The second I decided not to care about trying to make money it started falling into place. So I have a limited run of 50 physical on green cassette tapes as well as a zine based on the final track and an in-joke also 10 years in the making that I am releasing AS WELL AS putting it online for free or donate as you wish. It’s instrumental with audio samples from movies I love, film being the biggest influence on these tracks but also hence the reason I do not wish to try and officially sell the music as I technically and legally can't. But I am happy to accept any donations to go towards the production of the physical product plus the zine or just out of the kindness of your music-loving heart. I will also be selling a very limited run of the tapes and zine pack online, the rest being distributed locally around the Melbourne area.
It’s electronic music I guess but it’s got a bit of everything in it. Influences from stuff I used to love & still love. Mostly from various film composers like John Carpenter, Hans Zimmer, Christopher Drake and Junkie XL plus bands like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, The Music, Metallica, Rammstein, Neil Young, White Stripes. I’m just dropping names now to sound cool. And you know what? I’ll say it, I think there’s a couple bangers in there.

Echos of 80s New Wave bands mix with the darker underground music scenes to produce a guitar and synth-based retro-futurist sound for the 21st Century.

In Isolation's second album 'Shards' is out digitally in May 2020, followed by physical release CD in Septemeber.

In Isolation are four creative musicians and songwriters from Nottingham, with plenty of combined experience of touring the U.K. and Europe, playing the U.S. and much experience of studio recording.

Live shows have included direct supports with Desperate Journalist, Republica and ACTORS, and 80s bands Toyah, B-Movie, Naked Lunch and Balaam And The Angel.

Album one, ‘A Certain Fractal Light’ (now almost sold out) was engineered and produced by Gavin Monaghan, the man responsible for recordings by Editors, Babes In Toyland, Robert Plant and The Sherlocks.

Notable tracks from our debut - ‘Not Noticing’ and 'Elder Statesman': championed on local radio by Mercury Awards judge and BBC Introducing’s Dean Jackson. ‘Mist’: performed on local television channel Notts TV.

The band helped Nottingham's 'Framework' homeless charity in some tiny way by donating a track to its fund-raising vinyl record project.

Lead singer Ryan Swift was recently invited to speak at an international astrophysics conference at Liège University in Belgium to discuss the creative inspiration behind In Isolation’s track ‘TRAPPIST-1: A Space Anthem’ from the forthcoming album. The manager of NASA’s Exoplanet Exploration Program, Gary H. Blackwood, was "thrilled by In Isolation’s anthem".
