"Curious" is a bittersweet track that dives deeper into love, loneliness, and the aftermath of a drifting relationship. You still remember their smell, and their smile and you’re curious as to why you couldn’t make it work. You trick yourself into feeling alright but eventually, with time, you heal and realize that this curiosity needs to end which is when the song goes from a doubtful “I can’t ask for another shot” to a statement, “I don’t want another shot”.

“Snooze” is the title track of my debut EP. It talks about the current dating culture and how vain and insecure it makes us all feel. It can confuse you to the point where you’d rather be alone or always in search of something more. "Snooze" explores personal growth and the search for meaningful connections in this fleeting world. The song captures the essence of not wanting to fall into a familiar repetitive pattern and taking a chance at finding something true and honest.

If there's one things millennials have been fed since forever, it's hustle culture. There's just so much we think we have to be  jumping at to make it in this world where productivity is our measure of  self-worth; and this glorification of the hustle is burning us out.  

'Stepping About' is my newest song featuring Shayan Roy (Ex Buzzfeed India)(https://www.instagram.com/shayanroy) and is about our generation's big battle between hustle culture and the counter culture of self-care. 

So here's to moving towards finding a balance that works for us.  Let's hustle and grow, but let's also learn to breathe, doodle, sing, play and just embrace the idea of guilt-free chilling out.

Tushar Mathur is a solo musician practicing his craft from the by-lanes of Bangalore, India where he escapes from rent collectors. He is quite rich and can afford to pay them but he wants to revel in the aura of the 'broke artist'.
The inspiration for his latest venture, 'Groove Pool', is his new desk, the cost of which needed justification by some productive work. He is one of the top RnB & Soul artists in the country, but we have no proof for this statement. His extensive fan following (his parents) and his supreme talent (allegedly) make him what he is today.
When he isn't busy explaining the intricacies of Tom Misch and FKJ to his maid and dhobi, he can be found devouring momos and pani puris on the streets of South Bangalore. Wait till he digests (burps) before you ask for a selfie!
