The Mind Sweepers are a quintet from South West Scotland comprising Paul Winter (vocals/rhythm guitar/songs and lyrics), John McInally (lead guitar), Mark Jardine (bass guitar), and Bryn Thorburn (drums/percussion/photography). We were formed in May of 2014 and had completed our set, before there was a line-up change so we had to start again. Another change at the tail-end of '15 brought about John as our new lead guitarist and the band sound has finally levelled out to be our strongest yet. Now, in Autumn, '16, we have hopefully reached our final line-up with the addition of Mark on bass, as well as being super-keen on sound experimentation and tech. The songs have evolved with the new additions and we've found ourselves to be drifting into places we never dreamed possible with regard to experimentation and originality. We have a strong work ethic, we rehearse every week, and treat every gig as though it was a showcase in front of EMI. We had teething troubles with the sound in our early days and have found the addition of a sound tech has laid that bane to rest. We're based in S/W Scotland but we've played all over the country, dependent on available funds obviously. We've played large festivals, intimate pub gigs, charity do's, and acoustic radio slots. Grimm began with electronic music in 1999 when he had the chance to take up scratching on the Turntables. Rapidly becoming obsessed with the art, he joined up with Industrial act Dismantled (Metroplois / Dependent records) in 2002 and was soon heavily emerged into the electronic music scene. Soon aftter, Grimm began work on his own industrial project Terracorpse, becoming succesfull landing a 3 year contract with Corkscrew Records. From 2006 - 2008 Grimm worked closely with Green Shadow studios learning much about proffesional recording and production work.
 Grimm, A multi-genre producer has paved his way to being a serious contendor in the Audio Production World. "I like the idea of constantly working with different genres, Keeps things fresh and tests my ability as a Musician. It's a non stop evolution!" Says Grimm.

Whatever your mastering needs I can make sure you end up satisfied with your service.

I prefer files as 24/44 (or 24/96) Wav files, but can work with any high fidelity format.
It is best if you leave your mix with around 6db of headroom, and leave your master output buss free of any effects that effect the dynamics such as compression or limiting. If you are using things to colour your mix, this is fine.
Your music will be returned to you as a high rate non lossy compressed file for final approval and after approval as 16/44 Wavs.
Red book standard CD images for pressing can also be provided, with tags and track spacing etc, contact to discuss.

My mastering philosophy....
There is a lot of mystique as to the mastering process, with some considering it a "black art".

Whilst there are some technical aspects of mastering that generally might not be considered at the production stage, the main skills of an engineer come from experience with sound and music, both in listening and working.

I have spent 18 years working with sound, from playing in bands and engineering bands, to producing and mixing music with both electronic and with conventional instruments dealing with all sorts of genres. I have set up, installed and engineered live and club sound with sound systems of over 100k in power as well as running my own record labels both vinyl and digital.

I know how music should sound whether it is designed for the home, the cinema, or the club.

My unique perspective of all sides of the audio process gives you years of sound experience dealing with YOUR music.

I approach every task with a fierce passion that comes from an unadulterated love of all music.

The tools I use are always dependent on what is best for the task, using a blend of analogue and digital technology including my modified/modernised all valve 1960's Studer reel to reel.

The real "secret" of mastering is, in my belief, being able to "see into' the mix, and make decisions that lead to a good spectral balance via a process of empathetic equalisation. Correcting the the balance of the mix is the main stage of mastering before final compression and limiting to get loudness and to bring the mix together.

Good equalisation in mastering ensures that the mastering compression and limiting works in the correct way, and it really is the experience and ability to judge the spectral balance of a mix that makes a mastering engineer.

My love of music pushes me to retain as much of the detail in music as possible so I prefer to keep as high a dynamic range in the master as possible, I am against the loudness war, which does nothing but damage the quality of music. Where I can, if the client is willing, I try to conform the the K system as set out by Bob Katz, however in dance music this isn't always possible, so I try to work to a certain level of loudness whilst still preserving as much dynamic information as possible.

Anything from heavy metal, industrial, ambient, breaks, techno, dubstep and more can be dealt with to your requirements.

Being a loyal fan in today’s restless, smash-and-grab nature of the rap industry is overwhelming.  Many of us that manage to keep pace with the revolving door of album-quality mixtapes, breakthrough releases and exponential amounts of mediocrity cranked through the internets have become dependent on a constant intake of new music.  Just as many others that grew up with The Chronic, Enter the 36 Chambers, and ATLiens revere a past era when an album had real staying power, and question the value of a contemporary artist’s full-length release that is one of five in a given year.    Yet it seems this progression is one we’ll all have to live with, and unless you’re Kanye West, it implies that simply making a great album is often not enough to keep peoples’ attention for more than a few weeks…

Van Vazquez – DJ & Producer

Van Vazquez is an Argentine DJ and producer of Organic House and Melodic House, whose artistic vision is to deliver deep emotions, nostalgia, and sensitivity through music. His productions invite the listener on an introspective journey where melody becomes a direct bridge to the soul.

From the very beginning, Van Vazquez discovered music as both a refuge and a genuine form of expression. His sound is characterized by the fusion of organic percussion, rounded and enveloping basslines, ethereal atmospheres, and melodies filled with sweetness. The pure acoustic, is a band that was formed on July 27, 2007. The philosophy of this band obtained from the two important words, pure and acoustic. "Pure" is a purity of a person from something he had seen, something he had listened which inspired him to create a work. "Acoustic" is the person first media to play music. Although seems so simple, acoustic instrument can create various massive works and very tasty for the hearing.

This band is an indie acoustic or makes an acoustic way as its dependent variable and incorporates other streams as independent variables so that the acoustic music will produce more extensive taste. They combine several different streams with acoustic music such as acoustic pop, acoustic postrock, acoustic jazzy, acoustic beatbox, acoustic alternative, etc.

The band was originally formed by two persons Mohammad Trisamanta (vocal/guitar) and Jovial Fatrino Lilipaly (bass/back vocal) as the founder of this band. As the time went by, they added more personnel Rangga Wibisono (percussion/back vocal) and Ardian Sofian (percussion / Saxophone) to complete the formation of The Pure Acoustic in addition to some additional players who also helped in The Pure Acoustic’s path. 	I have a very strong concept as to why I do music.  My concept is that music isn't just audio wave forms and catchy phrases.  But that music is an endless life force of different avenues and angles.  Music is so influential and powerful, I believe it will never die. It's a means to provide for your family, and it also serves as a positive outlet for many of our youth. 	As I look around I notice that all of my family members are content with their situations.  They are completely comfortable with the way they live their lives.  But at the same time, they all have dreams of being much more.  Is it the fact that some of them dream to big?  Or is it that they are not realistically seeing what it takes to accomplish that goal in their life? Is it dependent upon the hand they were dealt?  Could it be that they never had a fair chance at being more than just successful?  In my eyes no one in my family has done it big enough, or even came close to being remembered by more than close relatives and friends.  These facts within themselves fill me with anger. This motivates me to do more than my best, but to be the best at what I do.  I refuse to just live the average life.  I see the potential within myself, and that to me is all it takes to take that first step towards greatness. 	The influence and power of music fascinates me.  The way one song can bring individuals together to form a crowd, and have them as a whole chanting and displaying the emotions of that one artist or group, is art at its finest.  Music is a tool that can be used to reach millions of people and deliver a single message.  Be it a message that is up lifting in nature, or a message that helps you vent, and realize that you're not alone in whatever it is that you're going through. 	One thing that I don't like about the current state of hip hop is how the quality and standard of this genre is deteriorating.  It seems that now of days the concept of a song doesn't matter.  It is as if deep and cleaver lyrics are optional now.  I think listeners as a whole have become complacent.  They except whatever is played by the radio as the next hot thing.  I understand that as a fan you have the right to like any artist that you please.  But don't just accept okay material; instead push your favorite artist to be better.  Push that label to put more into the work that they release. 	Music has opened my eyes to things I have never paid attention to, and I am grateful for that.  So now I am here to set the bar, and to turn my concept in to a dream come true. I am Brent Bellamy aka Bellz ,Be- Double- L- Z . I feel the fact that I was born in Columbia, South Carolina places a great amount of pressure on my shoulders. I believe that it is up to me and only me to place my city on the map musically. A health crisis that began in the summer of 2012 and brought me close to death sobered be up a lot, causing me to realize I needed to get busy sharing God's songs with others; but most importantly, staying busy with His work and walking in obedience to God's will, whatever that may be. God intervened and spared my life and I have been slowly recovering over the past year and a half, regaining some strength and energy. It's been quite a journey and I've found places in my heart and life where I was broken and didn't even realize it. God has been doing a good work through my life getting turned upside-down and even though it's been the most difficult thing I've ever faced, it's also been very healing and I've had some of the sweetest moments with the Lord. I've learned so much through this.

Please keep me in your prayers as I am not fully recovered and am still in the process of finding a solution. I am very thankful to be alive, recognizing that life is so very fragile and a precious gift. No part of our life - our heartbeat, our breath, our strength, or even our sleep - is dependent upon us. We are completely, utterly dependent on our Creator and we belong to Him. Please pray that God's will be done in my life, whether that be complete healing or staying in a weakened state. Whatever it may be, I want to have a heart of contentment and gratefulness. I have so much to be thankful for! God is good and does good...always!
