House Mekka is a local project, focused on redefining the dancefloors with timeless rhythms and conscious artistic steps. A space which lets open-minded people freely curate and continue the endless houseful beat! 

Since August 7th we have posted a collection of 8 dj sets from various artists, followed by an underground CD release under the Mekka’s name. Soon after that a memorable chairity party had a place at a local art gallery, being a homage for both house music & arts.

Stefan Ringer is a producer and DJ hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Since he started out releasing music under the moniker REKchampa in 2010, he has garnered attention with his unique take on house, techno and everything in between. Four years later, Stefan released on legendary house label NDATL, and is a frequent collaborator with label head Kai Alcé. Stefan has a myriad of other releases and credits on various labels and has also started his own imprint, FWM Entertainment, which is home to his most recent works. Stefan has been an influential force in Atlanta’s dance community, and holds a residency at the Sound Table with Ash Lauryn. In addition he curates and produces a monthly party called Kudzu which has become an underground dance music destination in the southeastern region of the US. Through his DJ sets, productions and contributions to the culture; Stefan is building a legacy.

Born and raised in Gera in Germany, Dana Ruh soon found her way to the capital city of Berlin. Since then, she ha been on a constantly evolving musical journey. In the early years, her sound was rooted in techno and landed most often on the label Brouqade Records, which she established in 2007. The label is still running too, and celebrated its 10th Year Birthday Celebration entitled 'Past/Present/Future' that emphatically encapsulated all that's great about the label. 
Aside from Brouqade, Dana's music has also featured on the liked of Autoreply, Work Them Records, Howl and Underground Quality. It was Jus Ed's label where she released her stunning debut album. 'Naturally' in 2014, an LP that introduced Dana to a whole new audience and showcased her pure house sound with some distinctions. In 2017 she started her new Label 'Cave Recordings' that showcased her wide musical range mainly rooted in House with old school flavor. 
When she isn't busy in the studio crafting textured tracks, Dana is a fine DJ who holds down resident duties at top Berlin space, Club der Visionaere. It is there that she lays down seductive tracks from the worlds of house and techno as well as gems in between. Aside from her beloved CDV, Dana has played in some of the globe's foremost house and techno nightclubs, often alongside some of the scene's prime movers and shakers. 
Despite working in such an over saturated and competitive field, Dana Ruh manages to speak louder and more coherently that most, and for that reason she deserves all the love she gets.

Inspired by the classic house labels, Hizou was born with a desire to release house music influenced by Chicago, Detroit, New York, San Francisco and presenting deep house producers old and new dedicated to creating music for house lovers. Enough said. Enjoy.
