WIDE AWAKE is an live-electronic music project featuring the trio - consisting of Ninze, Okaxy and Niju. The love of aesthetics and intensity of individual notes in slower base tempos have quickly formed the center of there music.  The live show, including analoque instruments combined with an electronic setup, opens their gates to take you on a walk down their very own trip. Leading you from distinctive melancholic and mystical sound to warmer tunes of summer nights, till you'll find yourself surrounded by bouncy beats, that make you feel lighter. Signature sound of comforting weirdness and tingling environments, story driven and unresting, on the edge while unable to move.  2015 the trio surprised with their debut album `Mentis Exzesses’ and on the legendary label „Laut&Luise“. With their second album ‘Alienation Effects’ of slow pacing lushness on a long playing goodness, WIDE AWAKE open up a personal chapter of contemplation and reflection 2019.

Melankolia was started in mid-2007.
I should say, the concept started 2007.    
The music actually formed and took shape late 2007  - 2008.  My original goal with Melankolia was to try and 
put feelings to music.  I originally started with a very 
poor setup and poor instruments.  The difference between 
now and then is almost definately the passion.  I had 
enormous passion and creativity then, just not the right 
tools to express it fully.  As the years went by, I found 
I had to reclaim again the original fire for creative 
work.  Thanks to the many friends and supporters I have, I 
realized that continuing forward is the one true course.

A bit of background:

Melankolia has at this point (1/13) 3 studio albums, 2 
EP's, and countless contributions to many different 
collaborative works.  The discography falls as follows:

 - Nokturnum - 2009, Beneath the Fog Productions, 7 track 
album.  Later referred to as the project's "demo", 
Nokturnum sold over 150 copies, and is currently sold out.

 - Orpheus Down - 2010, Quartier23, 10 track full album.  
Orpheus Down saw the ascent in quality to MIDI sounds and 
better instrumentation.  Orpheus Down has sold an unknown 
amount of copies, and is still available through distros 
and online stores worldwide.  One track of note is a cover 
of Vond's Slipp sorgen løs.

 - III - 2012, Quartier23, 15 track full album.  III took 
over 2 years to fully come together.  Featuring 80 minutes 
of music, it also boasts the collaborative talents of 
Appalachian Winter, Buer, Hoyland, Immundus, Karsten 
Hamre, Loell Duinn, and Mortiis.  Currently available 
worldwide through various outlets.

Rey&Kjavik is the alias of Alexander Schomann, DJ and producer from Offenbach, Germany. His musical home embeds itself to House and Electronic Music landscapes: Organic, Tech and Deep House. All of them live and unite here peacefully in one spot. Rhythms waft like a mantra through the vastness of his sound spheres, shallow melodic blossoms sprout and prepare the stage for the big parade. Schomann feels at home in clubs like Watergate or Scorpios however he can also set the roof on fire in front of an international audience at Burning-Man or at Fusion for instance. No matter where, Rey&Kjavik offers a spiritual rousing path, which enlightens and leads into other spaces, places and spheres. Iorie is a producer, Liveact and DJ from Germany. He started young singing, playing instruments and combined it all later by starting to produce at the age of 15. His music ranges through all tempos always conjunct in the purpose to shake your body, move your heart and excite your mind. In his tracks he uses the sounds of his travels and tries to capture all the encounters that come along them in unique sound and personal, philosophical lyrics.
