Benz began as an outlet for Salomonsson to explore her own self - a way to reflect on the past and reminisce. Her music combines both overdriven guitars with more soothing elements which shows the true diversity of her sound. In 2017 she entered the studio with some of her friends and recorded her debut EP ‘Erazor’ which is out on Better Call Rob next spring.

Michael wrote Dead and Buried after being laid off work on a Friday morning. Half-remembered drunken mishaps filtering through a hazy hangover, he lay on his bed with his unplugged Stratocaster. Enthusiasm was low. But sometimes, you've just got to write. Cracks were beginning to form in a long-term relationship, fuelling the lyrics and pumping the track full of rage. Dead and Buried is about self-destruction. The term is used to describe the need to move on from all of the nonsense that was causing such frustration. An hour and a half later, the song was finished.
