This Metalcore rendition of the iconic Game of Thrones theme brings a whole new dimension to the original, transforming its majestic melodies into a heavy, brooding anthem. With a relentless focus on complex rhythmic structures and off-beat syncopation, this tribute delivers a full-throttle metal experience.

Game of Thrones (Metal Tribute)

I grew up during the UK’s extraordinary 1960s musical revolution, but long before guitars and synthesizers there was another musical language that shaped how we hear feeling: chamber music.
This piece is an experiment in that older tradition. Four voices—two violins, viola, and cello—circle a simple melodic idea, letting it unfold slowly through dialogue, tension, and release.
The tempo is an andantino, unhurried enough to allow the melody to breathe. The instruments pass fragments of the theme between them, sometimes agreeing, sometimes gently arguing, before returning again to a shared center.
Unlike many of my tracks, this one carries no message or narrative. It simply asks the listener to sit with sound itself and notice how emotion appears in the spaces between notes.

Hewmorist’s Commentary: 
Most of my catalogue explores ideas through modern genres—blues, rock, electronic experiments and spoken word. Occasionally it feels necessary to return to the older workshop where musical thought evolved: four instruments in a room, responding to one another in a musical dialogue.

The Ozeaneum is a Marine aquariaum on the baltic coast of North-Germany in the city of Stralsund. It houses  large water bassins, with impressive deep-sea views.

I strongly believe we need to be awake to all peoples needs in society but like most things humans embark on, the extreme elements make us lose sight of the goal and the good intentions become counter intuitive. Woke left and right ideology and their extreme views tend to taint the good intentionality institutions try and seed with inclusivity and diversity. What happened to the center ground where most of us exist! We get it slightly wrong and then the whole mindset becomes a joke with a target on it's back instead of rationalising where we have fucked it up and fixing it!

This is a dig at how the woke extreme left gave rise to a woke extreme right and both extremes seem to want to establish unrealistic normals in society. Maybe we can't be fully awake unless we are tuned to the full spectrum of ideas and maybe that is what will allow more sensible normals flourish for larger cohorts of society

Stolen Identity

the year before last, when the german ministry for family affairs wanted to launch an awareness campaign on child abuse, I was asked if I would like to contribute a proposal. as this issue is very close to my heart, not only as a father and grandfather, but also more generally, I agreed. 

furthermore, I found that the campaigns launched so far were far too half-hearted. after all, we're talking about unimaginable suffering – an irreversible trauma that haunts those affected for the rest of their lives (and by that, I mean their entire lives, right up to old age) – and yet it either goes unnoticed or is ignored out of indifference, cowardice or shame. a social taboo, like something that should be kept private.

I delivered a tvc concept featuring scenes of a city at night. behind the dark windows, everyone seems to be sleeping peacefully. everyone? peacefully? first one child, then two, finally hundreds of children can be heard crying, sobbing and screaming, full of fear, pain and despair. so loud and so long that no one can ignore it anymore. voice-over (figuratively translated): “if we could hear what is being kept silent, the horror would finally have a voice.” + specific facts, nummers.

this proved way too direct and shocking for the decision-makers at the ministry. short: I was out. yet the idea continued to resonate with me, and that’s how the lyrics to this song came to be.
