Desert Rose (ft. Like Yesterday)

I wrote this somewhat loopy lyrics, when it was announced on CNN that Joe Biden had won the race for president against Donald Trump. My hope for a return of a real democracy in the sense of Willie Brandt's " More freedom daring", which for me always also means more humanity, more tenderness, more creativity and ultimately more love daring, experienced a powerful upswing that evening. And so these lines of text with the basic message "Still Love is there" literally poured out of me.

Diesen etwas durchgeknallten Text schrieb ich, als auf CNN bekanntgegeben wurde, dass Joe Biden das Rennen um das Präsidentenamt gegen Donald Trump gewonnen hatte. Meine Hoffnung auf eine Rückkehr einer echten Demokratie im Sinne von Willie Brandts "Mehr Freiheit wagen", was für mich immer auch heißt, mehr Menschlichkeit, mehr Zärtlichkeit, mehr Kreativität und letztendlich mehr Liebe wagen, erfuhr an diesem Abend einen kräftigen Aufschwung. Und so quollen diese Textzeilen mit der Grundbotschaft "Still Love is there" förmlich aus mir heraus.
