➳57 years ago, is when they saw each other for the first time.
The day their eyes started to sparkle for one another, and they never stopped sparkling.
For 57 years now, the 18th of August starts with the question: “Do you remember the day we met?”
He starts to smile and answers: 

On a beautiful summary night
At a wedding I saw you shining bright

Without worries or stress
It was clear I was obsessed
Never thought I will be as impressed

I swung by with the best moves I had
You shook your head and said: how bad!
One moment later you were away
Showing me it’s not my day
The plan was made,

Combined with my outstanding moves

I searched all over the place
Just to see your cute little face
It was time to put my zen mode on
To sense your aura before dawn
Cause a quiet moment in time
Is what can bring you to shine

While being in zen 
I started to just follow my nose
sensing and chasing the smell of rose
and pushed away all the other men
just to find you in the backyard
Looking up the sky without any guard

I looked up couldn’t believe what I saw
Two planets as clear as they would be draw
Magical how they were shimmering down
Having enough light to brighten up a town
You finally noticed me and started to explain
the love of Venus & Mars will forever remain

Slowly and gentle you took my hand
And said from now on you’ll be under my demand
A silent moment before we started to laugh
I knew there she is my better half
The energy this moment hold
is shown by the story you just have been told

Let Love be Lord (radio version)

In this episode Todd Barton takes us on a musical and literary journey back to 1985 when he worked with Ursula K. Le Guin, famous for the EarthSea novels. Todd Barton created the musical score for Ursula’s fascinating novel, Always Coming Home, which focuses on a people that might have lived a long time ago in Northern California, and the book came with a cassette tape of music, songs and poems for The Kesh co-created by Ursula and Todd. 

The music for Always Coming was originally created using authentic acoustic instruments and Todd’s Roland Jupiter 8. Unfortunately he sold the Jupiter 8 many years ago, so has re-created the sounds from the track Music of the 8th House using the Buchla Music Easel.

In this episode of SynthStories New York native and Berlin-based electronic producer, Eric Maltz, takes us into the addictive and bruising machine techno that is the title track of his recent EP, Pathway. The Pathway EP features 3 tracks that Eric feels explore the doubts and fears one faces and has to overcome when setting out on a new path.

Using his trusted Moog Sub 37 duophonic analog synthesizer, Eric recreates the synth line featured in Pathway.
