A Tribute To Lee

A few days ago I found out Lee sadly was no longer with us anymore. I never met Lee but he was a part of the trance classics groups and he was there right at the start of my dj journey, supporting every mix I posted on the trance groups. We quickly struck up a friendship and discovered we had quite a few things in common like our love for trance music and adidas trainers. It was only last month we was planning to meet up and he was going to show me around “The Toon” as he called it. I decided I wanted to do a mix featuring Lee’s favourite tracks in memory of him, he’s left a massive void in the lives of everyone who knew him but he’s now reunited with his brother whom he loved and missed so much, I’ll miss you mate 😔

Eddie Swales' passion is trance music. 3 years ago he took the plunge and took a keen interest in DJing. 

Eddie Swales has a passion for the classics and a substantial back catalogue, influenced from the Gatecrasher era of the late 90s and early 2000s. His style is diverse and continues to evolve, playing tech, uplifting and vocal trance both classic and current.

Eddie quickly realised from his impressive reach with his mixes and radio shows that he had discovered a raw talent and an outlet for his love for all things trance.

2023 was Eddie’s breakthrough year. Following the success of his online mixes Eddie has gained a loyal and ever-growing fan base which was soon noticed by Scott Bond. Seeing his devotion to the music that fuelled a generation, Eddie was chosen to play a set at the after-party of the Rebooted event in Sheffield.

Following this he has also played at Anomaly’s ASOL, Binary Finary’s Classic Trance event Unified, Reminiscence, warming up for AJ Gibson, Lost Witness, Kyau & Albert, The Thrillseekers and more recently Signum. Eddie also played his first international gig at Euphoria Weekender in Malta playing 2 sets over the 5 days.


With his sights set on entering the realms of production in the future, Eddie continues to express his love for our favourite genre via as many avenues as possible.

"Tune selection really is an art and in order to get it right, it requires significant preparation and having the right amount of ingredients. It has always been about the journey. Therefore, variety is required to aid the listeners on their nostalgic fix with a torrent of dancefloor destroyers to those forgotten treasures which were unfortunately overshadowed at the time."
