My wife and I have lost 3 grandparents through the course of 2021. All three of them were wonderful people who left beautiful legacies. This series "gpts" will seek to celebrate each of them individually. Jack Cleasby dove deeply into the career of civil engineering throughout the course of his full life. His specialty was in the field of providing clean water in places where it was not so readily available. Thus, the light splashing sounds tucked into the background of this piece. But his illustrious career as a professor only told a piece of his story. He was a welcoming and caring person who loved his family and others deeply. A picture of that tenderness can be found in his love for dancing with his wife, Donna. Thus, this song is written in the traditional time signature of a waltz.
