Here's another love related ballad that I wrote in 2006, around the time when I married my wonderful wife and my best friend Anita!! The lyrics are about how seldom my beautiful wife wears blue, which is my favorite color, but she looks great in all colors! It's another love ballad that wasn't recorded so well, I still had my old 8-track Tascam back then and I think it could have been mixed a whole lot better. I was still tinkering and getting used to the recorder! Charlie sang it perfectly and I double tracked his vocals, he also added some harmonica on the track as well. The video I put together last month and I threw in a lot of eye-candy and special effects at it to enhance it!

 I had forgotten about this song but when I was producing the video for "She Rescues Me" I noticed the song on the CD and did a video for it too! The melody is nice and the lyrics are sweet and it flows ok. Not my best song but it ain't my worst either! Very corny and old fashioned lyrics but hey, I'm an old fashioned lyric myslefI!😂 Take care and I hope everybody enjoys it! Thanks for dropping by and listening! This song is a weird one, I wanted to write like a fairytale song and it became like a scary tale instead. How does it happen that where once there was love, now there is hate? Failed relationships are hard for everyone and this song just states the very sad truth that sometimes it's best to just walk away from a relationship after a short time rather than hanging in there for many years when you know it's never going to work. Been there, done that! I kept the music light and very Beatleque! The first line in the chorus says it all "Once upon a time, she was the one!" Well, they all can't be love songs, you know! It's a very simple song written around the "D" chord on the guitar, very jangly like those poppy folk songs of the 60's. I should have worked on this song a little longer, it's missing something? I'm singing it so maybe that's the fly in the ointment!😂

The video is new however and I had a very good time putting it together last year. I tried to support the lyrics as close as possible. The video is actually better than the song, I think! Not much to say about this song or video, both were kind of throw-aways! I wrote it at the beginning of the pandemic, maybe that's why it's so unmemorable? I like the Unicorn at the end of the video letting everyone know that Once Upon A Time it was a fairytale romance! Cheers! 🥂

This is another of my love songs for my wonderful wife Anita, written in 2006 when we were first married! So it's a true and personal song straight from my heart. She was and still is my One And Only Love! It has a bit of an old-time shuffle feel to it and I wanted it to sound like it belonged in a Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers movie of the 1930's or an MGM musical of the 40's and 50's. Charlie sang it very well and I added a light & breezy jazzy guitar to it.  John Lennon used to call these type of songs "Granny Songs" but I love these old fashioned type of songs!

     This is an old song I wrote for Easter back in 2012. I wanted to write a song for the Christian Rock genre. Charlie really enjoyed it and sang it very well and I enjoyed writing it too! I tried to let the listener make up their minds as to whether the singer is "Blessed" because he has found the love of his life or if the singer is "Blessed" because of his love for God. I worked very hard on this song but it was way too long, so I had to edit some pieces out. Watch the video for a way cool holy experience!

    The video is brand new, finished it on March 16th of this year and it took me about a week to put it together. I threw a lot of eye-candy at it and a ton of audio special effects too. The Bridge was especially difficult to produce. I do everything by hand so it was very time consuming. You'll notice that in the bridge is my tribute to George Harrison who was always a very spiritual person, I used the same chords sequence as his "My Sweet Lord" as a kind of tip of the hat to him. This video used a lot of memory since I used quite a bit of 4K clips! It was my first attempt at a "Lyric" video mostly, I recently did another one called "Broken Mirrors" which will drop later on this year. Hi everybody, my name is Jim and I’m a songwriter, I've written over 300 songs, I play guitar, bass, piano, and am a pretty good lyricist.  I play all types of music and have my own recording studio.
