Tell Me Why

The Bridge is the final installment in an instrumental trilogy I've entitled Wilderness Wanderings. Life can certainly take mysterious turns and take us to very dark places, and God knows I have been down those roads! However, after the darkness comes light, and after the despair, hope! This is a musical expression of that hope and redemption... the bridge to life, which firmly stands, between the far spent night, and the promised land! (Note: I previously released this piece as a standalone, but wanted to include it in this collection. The piano has been revamped and remixed from the previous version)

The Raden Shitan Five-String Biwa and the Silk Road

During the Nara period, the “Raden Shitan Five-String Biwa,” housed in the Shosoin, was a musical instrument that came to Japan via the Silk Road. Its design and craftsmanship were influenced by Persian and Central Asian techniques, symbolizing Japan’s openness to international cultural exchange. Though I can’t imagine exactly what sound this biwa would produce, I created this piece based on my impression of it.

Inspired by the imagined sound of this biwa, I composed a piece that evokes the feeling of traveling along the Silk Road.

We Live, We Love, We Fall

This song I wrote in collaboration with Lance of LT Guitar from Soundcloud! Check him out, he's plays a mean guitar! I wrote the lyrics, played some percussion, added some sound effects, and sang it! (that alone will scare anybody!) Lance wrote and played all the music! It has a cool vibe to it and it was a lot of fun to put together. I worked hard on the video and it's pretty disturbing so fair WARNIG to all of those that don't like horror movies. This is my first video for the month of October that is Halloween themed. Up next will be videos about, Vampires, Demons, Zombies, Suicide, Monsters, on and on, you get the picture, and how cool is that? No love songs or feel good videos in this month but in November and December the corniness will return with a vengeance! I wrote a new song while on vacation in Colombia called "Clouds", it will take me a while to record but it sounds really cool in my head! Happy to be back, Cheers!
