It's been so long since I made this that I don't remember much about working on it besides making the KeySplits for W and Mona's vocals. Making bounce loops for Mona and mapping each sample to where it sounded good proved quite challenging, but I like how her vocals turned out quite a bit. 
Also, just like the real game, Wario's vocals this time are totally different from those seen with the Week 6 covers. That had more to do with the fact that I actually pitch-mapped them rather than using the real WL4 KeySplit. Like with Mona, Wario's vox come from WW: Mega Party Game$.

...Just now, I spent a good amount of time updating the mix. I did some EQ'ing & mixing, mostly. I put M&W in separate DirectWave's, for one. Made the Drop's hi-hat less garish. 
I brought the old marimba channel back in to some degree, because it draws a little too much attention to itself if you're taking the vocals into consideration. It'd be fine if it were an instrumental. 
Not sure how well the changes I did to the drums' EQ go over. I should really make different channels for them so I can give them that extra bit of attention.

Got the idea for this when I thought about the similarities between Hx-1 and the Bloodlines Guitar. My original motivation was wanting to do something with said incredibly sick guitar. 
Actually, I don't really know if my motivations were as tangible with this one as some of my other covers. I just wanted to do it 'cause it's freaking cool.
That *was* why I ended up going with SuperSponge sounds, though, was the Hx thing.

Image was a background from the Archive dump of SuperSponge. It was chosen at random, because my Explorer doesn't like generating image previews, these days. SO, I'm glad it was a winner. 'Put a smile on me face.

Skelux asked on Twitter what music the Piano should play when you get close (a la Piranha Plant's lullaby, I presume), and I suggested some kind of menacing solo piano piece. 

After I looked up 'spooky solo piano pieces' online, I found a list which reminded me of this song. I went and found a download for a piano-only rendition of the piece, and made a mockup of what it'd sound like in Mario 64 in FL.

This excerpt from Totentanz isn't exactly the doom and gloom I was originally imagining, but it's not too high energy, feels spooky, and has a similar melodic cadence to PirPlaLullaby's, like a Dark Twin of sorts.

Just a little ditty I made on my iPad earlier today on my during school! The title comes about of the fact that I could easily imagine this tune being the music for when you are selecting a save file in a video game. :-P

I have many other songs that I've created with GarageBand other than this one, so I'll probably be uploading those in the near (or far!) future.

File Select (original song)

I created this song when I was messing around with the echo effect with some of the GarageBand instruments- much of the song's main melody is defined by the echo effect on the electric piano! I might upload a version of the song without the echo effect to show how different it would sound. 

It's been a while since I've uploaded- I probably have some other stuff lying around that I could probably upload. Of course with the 6 hour upload limit looming over my shoulder, who knows how much more music I'll be able to upload... ._.

Robotic Hip Hop

This song is a slight departure from my usual composing habits- a pretty heavy techno vibe to it as oppose to the more traditional style that some of my other songs have. I discovered that  badass "BUWOOOOHHHHHHH" noise at the beginning of the song when I was exploring the numerous keyboard instruments in GarageBand and found it in the synth pads or something- I don't remember what it was called, but I'll try and find it. Anyways, I raised both the attack and the release so that the instrument would crescendo in and sort of "build up" and then gradually decrescendo and fade away once you let go. Then I just sort of made a song out of it- I added a really deep bass, put in a drum line, and added some backing organ and a melody using the electric piano to give as the finishing touches.

Unfortunately, this song is actually incomplete- I wasn't able to finish this song before the end of 9th grade, when we had to wipe our school iPads and return them to the school. ._. Oh well- either way, I'm honestly pretty proud of this song- like I said, it's sort of a departure from my usual style of composing, and I think it turned out pretty god damn well, all things considered!

A sp00ky Night (Original)

This is a song I created a while back via GarageBand during 9th grade. Unfortunately, it isn't really finished- I wanted to created a 3rd part of the song with both piano and organ in it, but wasn't able to before the end of the school year when we gave our iPads back. Oh well- I think that what I was able to create is pretty damn good for the most part.

I actually had already uploaded this song to Soundcloud, but I wanted to re-upload it, as there was something the matter with the bass- it wasn't as strong as it should've been. Unfortunately that means I lost the original description for this song, which was a whole lot longer and more thought out. But oh well- hopefully the bass will be better. Either way, tell me in the comments your thoughts on this song- I always appreciate constructive criticism! :) Expect more songs to be uploaded in the future.

Map theme(??)

This song was really fun to make! This is one of my much more recent songs, at least more so than any of my other songs I've uploaded here, and I'd say it's one of my personal best so far (aside from MAYBE one other song that I just made, which isn't even finished yet). This one is unfinished... maybe?? It sounds fine the way it is but I might still need to spruce it up a bit, so expect a revised version at some point... maybe.

Either way, I guess one notable thing about this song is that it makes pretty heavy use of stereo sound, at least compared to any of my other tunes I've made before. I really wanted this one to be way deeper and more compositionally complex than any of my other songs I've put together in the past, so I made sure to put in a bunch of unique instruments (most notably the rhythmic guitar strumming and electric guitar- both of which aren't necessarily unique but are ones that I don't tend to use often as they sort of stretch outside of my comfort zone to an extent), and balance all of them between the two earsides to make it more interesting to listen to. That being said, that unfortunately makes it kinda hard for anybody with only one headphone, so to all teenagers listening to this who have headphones which are broken in one ear... I deeply apologize. :(

The piano part here was especially fun to make- i first came up with this on my actual keyboard, which is why it's so much more involved than the piano in any of my other pieces. Of course, this song is WAY too friggin' fast for me to actually play on a piano, which is why I decided to flesh it out in GarageBand. It was really fun to go all out here, especially with the "solo" at the end of the song.

Well, hope you all who are listening enjoy this one- I'm always open to feedback, whatever kind it may be, so please feel free to leave it in the comments! High school is quite hectic atm, so SoundCloud is virtually the very last thing on my mind, but I thought I'd go ahead and upload something I've been working on just for the hell of it. This is one of the few soundtracks I composed directly for Infogrames. They used it twice, first in "Martian Alert!" and one year later in "Martian Revenge". The games were also named in other countries "Alert!" and "Marvin Strikes Back!"

Note that the names I've set are the originally intended, not the actual stages of the game.

Here's a neat track I made throughout today using the sound font for Spyro the Dragon! I've always wanted to make a song in the style of Stewart Copeland's excellent compositions from Spyro, and today while I was screwing around in Logic Pro I happened upon this soundfont which I must've downloaded a while back So, across the accumulative course of what must've been at least 10 hours, I made this. It's definitely nowhere near as complex as any of Copeland's tracks, and I'll probably even keep working on it to make it better and longer, but I think I did an alright job considering that I made this in a single day. Let me know what you think in the comments, as I'm eager to hear any suggestions as to how I could further improve this.
