some notes about giving tree:
i wrote this song last august in anticipation of autumn. i wanted it to sound heavily nostalgic and lightly resolved. the lyrics were incidentally written during a full moon, and the song was released during a full moon. we rewrote this song four times before we were happy with it. here’s to perfectionism.

i wrote limbo last winter. the song came together steadily, i wrote a few lines each morning while taking care of horses at sunrise, before anyone else was awake. the name says it all; it's about being comfortable not knowing what you mean or where you stand with someone close to you. it's a sort of lullaby for the perpetually restless.

this is the first song i am releasing in partnership with Animal Farm Records in London. many thanks to their team for their support with the track. 

it’s a song about going home, but every time you go somewhere you leave something, and often someone behind. this song is a tribute to that specific way to break a heart.
