Here is my mix for the Feel My Bicep mixtape series.The mix was recorded in my home bedroom studio in Haggerston, drafted on my technics 1210’s and CDJ’s and then put together in Traktor and Logic Pro for a few tweaks. I have some effects chains I use in Logic for my productions which I love and wanted to utilise in the mix to give an essence of my production throughout, including Vahalia (the best!) plugins and Phat FX filters.

For our next 60 minute, it's none other than the toon lass herself... Holly Why! "Why-aye's" aside and all that - we first crossed paths with her at Gottwood earlier this Summer. Many an interchange was had about similar tastes in records and a true understanding for the art of creating journeys in sets when you're playing one record after another.

And it's clear that wasn't just all fezzie talk... this hour long excursion takes you through the dulcet tones of well pieced together minimal numbers, before smoothly taking you into something all together completely & beautifully different. And as we've said before - to be able to do something like this so smoothly is no small feat. This is pure class.

Art Jefferson is a DJ, music journalist, and photographer.

With a lengthy DJ history spanning over two decades, Art Jefferson continues to bring cutting edge sounds of various genres, spearheading distinct vibes and creating an exciting listening experience for crowds. He has produced a number of radio shows, 
introducing audiences to acts across the globe, all with the same intentiion as his job behind the decks - to foster a specific mood of audible pleasure. 

As a writer and music journalist he has covered and interviewed various artists / producers spanning a multitude of genres. Whether covering a post-punk band from London, a U.S.
chart-topping artist, or a German electronic outfit, Art Jefferson’s ear for groundbreaking acts has made him a  modern day tastemaker. He contributed to Lukasz Polowcyzk’s latest book ‘Aint About Me’.

Art Jefferson’s approach to photography is no different having shot music, fashion, as well as cultural and political journalism. His work ‘Village People’, documenting the modern cultural shift of Dulwich Village, exhibited in London.

The element of style is something that yet again, plays a piece of the overall puzzle. 
Inspired by everything from 50s rock & roll to late 60s proto-punk, on down to 70s soul and even glam, there is always the embedding of culture and the sonics behind the eras that factor into Art Jefferson’s inspiration behind his delving into the world of fashion.

Ansonica is an Italian deejay based in Berlin. Obsessed with disco music since she was a kid, thanks to the influence of her mother she literally grew up with
spaghetti and Italo disco. 

She spent several years following closely the club scene in Italy, working as DJ Host and PR at Ribbon Club Culture in Central Italy until she moved to Berlin in 2015. 

After a long time of being only in the “backstage” she has decided to start playing and creating her own "colorful" and authentic music style fully shaped by her taste and personality mixing Hi-NRG disco with diverse house and electronic vibes. 

She has been playing regularly in Berlin in clubs like Kitkat, Renate, Sisyphos Klunkerkranich, Oxi, to name a few with Disco Bizarre and Toytonics crews as well as international gigs all over Europe. Her mission is making Disco glamorous and exciting again and bring the dancers on a fresh, sweaty, fun and always a “little bit italian” journey.
