Here is one of my favorite compositions from Mal Waldron titled Soul Eyes. I recorded this around 1999 as well with overdubbed guitar on my 4 track

Soul Eyes

From an early age I was fascinated by the music that always played through my childhood home.
My father was a musician my brother is still a touring and recording artist . So music was just an important way of life.
Technology as changed so much it’s ridiculous what we can do now compared to back then. It still blows my mind especially when you have grown with it and fully understand the difference.
Unlike my kids who just think I’m a dinosaur but yet still listen to my music influences. 
The first single I ever bought was Ever  Fallen In Love by The Buzzcocks and the B-side was Just Lust . If you comment let me know your first single. 
 I always played the Bsides as much as the Asides and would make an album up on a TDK 90 dedicated to them.
Memory’s of looking out of the window with my Sony Walkman listening to the cassette. Passing time to get to our holiday destination. 
This song is a tribute to the vinyl Bsides that influenced me along the way . With a summer feel to catch what’s left of it.  🌞

The craggy peaks beneath the snow,

That the eyes are there upon you,
And the spirits through the trees,
Look around in deepest wonder
As you fall upon your knees.
The souls of those before you
Surround you with their love,
With lessons learned in fields below,
Now in rest so high above.
So I took the ancient wisdom
Down the path where it was found
And used it well in times of need,
From that ancient sacred ground.
