An interesting mixture of church music sound with sci-fi sound. The rhythm and phrasing is quite complex which makes it intriguing but also hard to keep up with.

The cover is designed as if we are waiting for a horror with paranormal phenomena, that's what I thought. But there's something else here, although it's paranormal in its own way.

I don't always understand the choice and location of certain sound, but I like the overall picture.

I love the concept behind this piece -- drawing on a personal experience and expressing it musically is very pure and admirable.

I'm with Silverpants - this last section was terrific.

I think if this was called "Sci-Fi" instead of "SC-F" - I would have got it more.  It doesn't remind me of a church at all.  It's very spacy/alien.  Love it though!

This introduction is quite well handled. I like the delicate touch to many of the sounds. The one excepting is the piercing high pitched note at this transition here it's much to resonant.

Cool timing changes and details. There is a bit of randomness to it all that makes it hard to follow and feels someone meandering.

I enjoyed the layering of sounds and over all sound design. There are a few spots where the resonance of higher pitches is a bit uncomfortable.

It came out way goofier and sillier than I intended to be, honestly. Partly sploink, partly epic, partly EDM, partly "I-don't-know-what-anymore"... Imagine it as a sort of OST for a new hypothetical Worms game.

Composed for the KVR "One Synth Challenge" n. 186 in August 2024. Sounds generated from the free VST synth Tricent mkIII by Full Bucket Music, coupled with some instances of the VST reverb Solaris by Adam Szabo.

This track is dedicated to a very special place for me. Exactly one year ago, in this month, I was on holiday in Florence and on the second-to-last day of my stay I finally took the opportunity to visit the Church of Santa Croce in the morning. The heavily manipulated picture I've chosen as the cover was taken exactly at 9:58 AM and my composition aims to express the mixed sense of wonder, magnificence and... Stendhal's Syndrome I was feeling in those moments, while visiting this grandiose monument that also has an enormous value in the cultural history of Italy.

Fun fact: Stendhal's Syndrome phenomenon harks exactly to the sensations Stendhal himself felt after visiting Santa Croce!

Genre: Synth orchestral / trailer music / cinematic

Our brave heroes wait behind the castle walls as the enemy approaches. First the horns sound in the distance, and then slowly approach. Some notes ring familiar, while others are strangely alien. Three final eerie blasts as the ram begins its foul work upon the gate. When the enemy finally breaks through, not only men but twisted creatures with robotic voices join in the battle. As the fighting gets more and more chaotic, our protectors make a final stand. Can they prevail?

For OSC 186 NA2S- Using 50+ instances of Vital and Socal Labs Wavetable synthesizers to produce all sounds in Ableton Live. Processed with Limiter 6, Valhalla Super Massive, Saturation, Cabinet, Amp, Pedal, Autofilter, Hybrid Reverb, Compressor,  EQ8, Channel EQ, and Delay.
